If I wasn't sure that it would get you off on a really bad foot, I'd say you should tell anyone who wants you to get on a chair to introduce yourself that you need an organ grinder and a hat for tips if you are expected to play the role of a monkey.
I have a very nice hat.

The tannins maybe. That would explain red being worse than white.
The sheer amount of sugar is a pretty big part of it, too. That's why mixed drinks will give you a worse hangover than straight booze.
Yeah, it was a red shiraz that nailed me.
Could have also been the forced air heat set at 75 degrees (ugh).

I've been weeding down my single issues. I have a small stack from three weeks ago that I haven't even read yet so I think the pull list is going to get even smaller.I've dropped a ton of books in the past few months. I'd usually blow about a hundred bucks a week on comics, but now I'm down to between 25 and 50.

These were wet clothes? as if they washed them earlier and left them?
I'm next to the laundry room, no one's done anything in there for a couple hours and there were no clothes in the washer or in the room when I put my clothes in.
Someone washed their whatevers in their apartment or something and put them in the dryer 5 minutes before my wash timer ran out.
Which means I can't get to the dryer at least for another 20 minutes and means my clothes won't be out of the dryer until after 11pm.
With the cops stationed outside my building ATM, I do not want to venture outside my door.

I'm down to maybe ten series, two will be ending soon (American Virgin and Whedon's Astonishing X Men). But I'm still going to drop one or two more.
and then I'm going through the single issues I have an offer most of them up on CBR like Nikita just did. I need the room and I don't collect, I just read.

I would have to say I save at least $300 a year now due to it and I am being conservative.
I got tired of bitching about comics that were crap but still buy them. I voiced my opinion with my wallet.

It happened to me once at an old place of mine. They had laundry tubs and I just pulled out their dry clothes and put them in the tub and filled it with water. I then kept the dryer running.

Been a long time, Lee. How's the world been treatin' you?Kinda passively, actually. Been doing freelance graphics for the past few years, but I really need to get some new clientele. Main client I've been doing business with has been paying me to do basically nothing, which helps keep the bills paid, but makes life around here surreal.
In other news, I also got married, which I'm not sure I mentioned the last time I was in. It's been a while, hasn't it? She's a gal from New York who decided to get involved with me after my meltdown back in 2003. She's been living with me for the last few years, and she still seems to love me, so I think that's working out alright.
I wrote a book last year, which I'm trying to get published now. Sword and Sorcery stuff, not really my genre, but it just came out like that. I've been trying to develop a few video games, one of which is on semi-permanent hiatus, but the other two seem to be moving along nicely enough, I think. And I'm back to writing and recording music, which I haven't done seriously in a while, even though I got the band back together for a bit a year or so ago. None of these is making me money at the moment, however.
Anyway, really glad to see you're still at it, though. How have you been?

Anyway, really glad to see you're still at it, though. How have you been? Not too bad, sir. Nothing big to report; the past year or so has mainly been about work and painting. I've been swamped with work, which was good, 'cause 2006 was horrible workwise. And I've really plowed into acrylics in 2007. I've done 15 paintings on either canvas or wood panels. A big step from how I used to composite my stuff in Photoshop.
And I hear ya about getting paid to do nothing. I've got a couple clients like that, and the boredom level makes for some loooooooooonnng fuckin' days.
