View Full Version : Any XBLA games you'd recommend?

...Besides Symphony Of The Night, that is.

I'm looking for some cool XBLA games. I know I will be downloading Prince Of Persia, Marathon and CastleVania, but what else would you recommend?

Aegis Wings is a fun little old school side scrolling shooter and it's also free last time I checked.

Alien Hominid HD looks fabulous and is pure fun.

Don't know if you're into boardgames, but I love Catan and Carcasonne.

Thanx for the input, people. Didn't know that Smash TV and Pac-Man were part of the XBLA games, which is cool.

And Aegis Wings is free? That's VERY important. And I'll be sure to get some more info on those boardgames and Alien Hominid. And yeah, I like puzzle games, so Puzzle Quest will be a given.

Street Fighter 2. I think it's Hyper Fighter edition. Even with lag, it's fun and a nice blast from the past.

I'm waiting for that super remastered HD edition with the new sprites.

And also Castle Crashers. I can actually see myself playing Castle Crashers more than any other game available for the system.

Yarris is also free I believe, and very reminiscent of the Sonic 2 chaos emerald minigames. New Rally-X is a lot of fun if you enjoy retro stuff. Lumines is addicting as anything I can imagine, although it's a little pricey (1,200 pts I believe)

Hey Theseeus. Welcome to the boards, and thanx for the recommendations. That Yarris is that Toyota game?
