I learned how to read by reading comics. Twenty-plus years of obsession makes me a fan. I love everything about the comics medium, and I find it more expressive and entertaining than novels; but on superhero comics alone, I love the mythology. Every character is like a god in a Greek legend, from the guy who can fly and shoot heat out of his eyes to the brooding orphan without powers who crusades against injustice from the shadows. There's very little I hate about comics, even superhero comics.

Comics are a great medium that is limitless. It's not completely this way but for the most part you can tell stories that are only limited to your imagination. they are nice to look at. you can create works of art.

superhero comics however. i've just always loved the battle of good and evil. triumph over odds. heroes and people who show what humanity should act like(i'm a misanthropist).

I guess I heavily got into comics because of the crazy ideas out there, the imaginations. things like the concept of Crisis and destroying reality which put the revelations in the bible to shame. things where a human mind, 1 story by 1 guy can be better than something considered classic and established.

I love the entertainment.

Nice fantasy world that's a nice escape and safer tham Alcohol, drugs etc.

Always been a big comic fan when I was a kid. But they really helped get me through college. I put myself through by working two jobs but that meant weird hours and overnight shifts.

Really could not focus on calculus and advanced physics at 3 AM in the morning but comics were the perfect medium. Kept me awake and interested throughout my shift and whenever I get stressed or bummed out - I just open an issue and keep reading and my problems never seem as bad afterwards ;)
