View Full Version : Should Proton Cannon become canon in Secret Invasion?

We know Repulsor won't make a dent on any Skrull and Full-form repulsor/Unibeam would drain Iron Man's energy fast, so wouldn't it be great to have Proton Cannon as a standard arsenal against the Skrulls or their starships. Proton Cannon has its origin from an arcade game and most people outside of comics know its connection with Iron Man (just check on google) so it would be a nice touch to have this or some form of it to Iron Man official arsenal.

i'm sure iron man's got enough big guns already. i mean, guy's an arms dealer. plus he flies around in a suit made of technology that makes most countries' nuclear development programs look like grade-school science projects.:D

Since when is JLA/Avengers real cannon? :confused: Isn't it more "wink and nod" cannon where it's officially cannon but no one can ever reference it or anything from it?

It's questionable if it's in Marvel cannon because of Wanda's acknowledgement that she had two children at one time, and had come to terms with it. This conficts directly with Avengers #503, which hinges on the fact that Wanda has just learned of her kids from a tipsy Jan, who's loose lips sets off the whole Dissembled meltdown!

I don't think the biggest guns will perform favorable results this time though. The skrull infestation needs to be "surgically" removed.

This conficts directly with Avengers #503.I don't think so. #503 doesn't imply that she never knew about her kids. It implied that she'd been slowly going crazy and had repressed that memory, and that Wasp's mention of it was what finally made her snap.

In order for JLA/Avengers not to contradict Disassembled on that point, all we have to do is say it happened before she got that crazy.

I say it's remote teleported from wherever he keeps it (in his armory for example).

Needless to say, I think that cannon is firmly in canon as seen by the pics Exo posted of it. Capcom directly lifted the drawing from that comic.

and im sure he does have many many cars.
yeah i reckon he needs a big ass canon, he can only summon after achieving level 1 powerup
but proton canon was kick ass, loved it!
