if you were to pick one (and only one) member of The Order to keep their powers and become an Avenger (Mighty or New); whom would you choose? and, if you feel like it, explain why this character deserves to move up the ranks. (kindly, wait for the poll; i have a few names to plug in)

my vote's for Veda because i just like her look and think she's one of the more unique creations in the past few years. there aren't enough latina superheroines. and i kind of want her to hook up with Simon Williams, since Carol's treating him so shabbily. i think they'd look good together; unless Tony's more her style.

Man, it's hard to choose. The four superpowered members spotlighted thus far have all turned out to be really solid, interesting characters.
Since the backstories and characterizations are all pretty equivalently interesting, I'd probably go with Veda, just because she has such a unique powerset.

i'm predicting right now that Calamity will be a favorite. he seems to be really down-to-earth. plus, he actually designed his own powers.

While this was close, I voted for Aralune. The sheer chance of her saying somthing like "I'm punching Barron Zemo Y'all!" while the rest of the team rolls there eyes is too much to pass up.
Calamity would be my close second choice with Veda in 3rd.
of course if we could just give there PR agent superpowers, she'd rocket up to tie with Becky for first :)

I vote for Veda, Aralune, Calamity, Supernaut, and Heavy.
But...in respect for your rules, I guess I'll narrow it down to just Calamity ;)

he's cool. i don't really see any of them as a favorite/a character i identify with. but i want to see more of them; hopefully, interacting with more familiar marvel characters.
p.s. i do find Heavy kind of boring.

I like him, but I agree they havent done a whole lot with him. He seems like the drill instructor that everybody likes, sort of like a big brother type for the team.
Sort of an anti-Gauntlet ;)

see, but i like Gauntlet. he's an a-hole but he keeps things interesting. i highly suspect that Heavy is a skrull. :)

Is it a sad commentary that the moment someone seems to be nice we immediately jump to Skrull as the only possible solution? ;)
I don't find heavy particularly interesting either, however the second his issue comes up, I know I'll love him. Though I doubt this will happen with Mullholland Black...

If anybody was a skrull, I would say Aralune would be the #1 suspect...she would be the perfect disguise, a teen idol who has the power to turn into anything?
Yep, sounds Skrully.

i don't know too much about Mulholland. i just like that she has her own style. she's good team fodder.

I vote Aralune. Not only does she genuinely love and enjoy being a superhero, but she's trustworthy, she's sweet, and she's a generally fun person. She's also been key to most Order operations I've seen since she came aboard; her power has made her instrumental to the Order, playing a vital role in everything I've seen her do so far.

that description makes it sound like she's ripe for a fall. something's going to happen to darken her up. next thing you'll know, she'll start dressing the family pet in iron maiden-esque armor.

The one with the bluetooth sword that got fired in issue #1. I thought there was a lot of fun potential in that. Not too likely now though :)

I think Calamity might be the break-out character.

well he is the only one who created his own powers, iirc. he seems to be likable enough.

Well Calamity invented a new kind of prosthetic leg, but that doesn't mean everyone who has them has superspeed you know XD

Well the sword is still around in this latest issue :)

Especially when you consider the legs he invented were hooved and bent the wrong direction, while the legs he has as Calamity appear to have a normal, humanoid shape.
