Tabula Rasa was a game I was looking forward to immensely, then I just kinda...forgot about it. Then it appears it came out recently right under my nose!

I'm really busy (and broke) with other games right now, so I havent gotten it, but I'm wondering if anybody has had any experience with it yet. I'm looking for thoughts and opinions!

The market seems to have spoken: the collector's edition is already $30 on most videogaming sites. The game sold like crap so they're already trying to unload it.

Most successful games maintain their value for longer than 6 weeks, especially collector's editions. I've noticed that most MMOs quickly depreciate in value because most MMOs fail. Sales aren't always an indication of a game's quality, but it's something to keep in mind.

Obligatory ZeroPunctuation review (of the beta, which may or may not reflect the current game, as it's supposedly been revamped several times):

Most reviews have been pretty postive.
I got a copy of it from a friend who played it for one day and gave it to me because i play wow.
Its kinda ....they don't explain whats going on very well, storywise or gameplay wise.
I got to about level 8 before i realized i had skill points to spend, because they never told me how to spend them.
Now, heres the interesting thing. In general chat, people who played during beta were discussing how they liked to save all their skill points until they hit level 20. For any mmo player that might sound strange, how can you level that far without improving your character?
The answer, from what little i saw, is, very easily.
Every fight is point at something, shot it, occasionaly throw a lightening bolt at it, end with full health. It's not a shotter, not really, the enemies show no intelligence and there isn't pvp at low levels so you ain't playing counterstrike.
Think diablo, online, but not as fun, and you never get taught how to play.

The one neat thing is, apprently, at levels 10, 20,30, when your character can choose some sort of subclass, you can clone said character, so you can then take clone, and go down another path.
But since all paths seem to lead to the same place, it doesn't matter much.
