It looks like we are getting another comic book anime, first witchblade, now batman, I hope this opens the door for more comics to animated in japan cause these cartoons aimed at kids don't do us justice.

This isn't an anime at all, this is American made and a prequel to The Dark Knight. Still looks pretty good, though.

Actually..... This is anime. I know. I know. That's something coming from the guy always bitching about 'OEL manga'.
It's co-produced with American talent, but the production is being handled by Japanese studios as it says there. Studio 4*C, Production I.G., and Madhouse. All studios with very good track records. Pretty much it's like the AniMatrix. Now I don't know if all of them are being directed by Timm or if they'll have some Japanese directors like AniMatrix did. Either way, they are using Japanese animations houses.
Color me excited for this. I love these studios, especially 4*C. Never mind that you have US Batman creators like Greg Rucka working with them.

Oh, well, so it is, I must've skipped over that part in the article before. I stand corrected

I hope Studio 4*C do their short in that Masaa Yuuki (Tekkonkinkreet, MIND GAME) style of animation. I can imagine how wicked their version of Joker would be like...

Sounds good.
I cant wait to see the final product.
The WItchblade anime was OK but it didnt really have much to do with the WItchblade bearer that I would have liked it to.

I was already excited about this when I heard about it, I mean anime companys doing the drawing with Timm involved sounds like gold to me. I didn't know who all they had gotten to right the stories, I'm more excited about this project than before. I can't wait to see it. And while they probably won't, I hope they get Conroy back for the voice.

"Who cares if it's anime" is my reaction. Let's hope it's worth all the trouble.

Anime News Network says that Timm is directing all the shorts. That's pretty good news to me.
I'm also excited about the as yet unspoken for music composer. Can't wait to hear what they bring to the table.

it's not going to be just one of those 30 minute cartoon movie tie in's is it?

Since they are 6 shorts I'm sure the whole thing won't be that short.

From what I've been told, this project is very much in the vein of the Animatrix.
