Watch it in HD.
This looks like it might be the best movie ever.
Or the most colorful.
I can't really tell the difference.
It looks fun!

More colorful than Hero? :) Is such a thing possible?

Sure- HERO only used one color at a time, after all.

It does look pretty fun.

Can't. I've avoided that series ever since Maxim screwed me and Lii out of a speed-racer themed car promo gig. ^^

I wish they used the original theme song. "Go Speed Racer, Go Speed Racer, Go Speed Racer Go!" :D I love the classics :p

The original never played where I was growing up.... Battle of the Planets, yes, but not Speed Racer, so I don't really have an emotional attachment to this film. Looks like spifftastic fun, though.

It'd be fun to get a Battle Of The Planets movie.

I was a never a big fan of the show ether... I missed it... Tranzor Z, He-man, TMNT, and Transformers were more my cup of tea.
But the trailer just looks so amazing and fun!

That is colourful.
The CGI backgrounds could take some getting used to though.

I too was more of an 80's kid like Crowley described, though I think I did see a little bit of the early 90's show.

Never was a big fan of the toon, but I'll probably check this out.

I've only seen a couple cartoons, but I'm really looking forward to this movie.

I can't watch the trailer because my computer is having none of Quicktime, but this quote intrigues me.
"Forget the bleak Neo-centric vision of the future; this is more Andy Warhol meets the Jetsons."

I have fond memories of Speed Racer from the late 60s/early 70s,along with Kimba the White Lion.
Of course i will go see this movie, but i hope it turns out to be better than Matrix:Reloaded.

Saw the preview when I watched The Golden Compass. Looked better then I expected.
I'll see it when it's on HBO.
Hirsh is a great actor. Possibly a future Tom Cruise in the making? (Hopefully without the Scientology wackiness.)

I just keep watching the trailer over and over.. I know it looks silly, but I can't wait to watch it. I have multiple Mach 5 toys in my collection and I've always loved the idea of Speed Racer. If Voltron comes together that well, I won't be able to wait. It just looks fun.
Maybe now we'll get a good Speed Racer game for consoles.

tom crusie hasn't done shit in the last few years. infact i think the only good thing he's done in the aught's (sp)was his cameo in goldmember
but its funny that u compared the two since emile was in the ripp of version of risky business.
the cgi racing looks odd. Im assuming that its supposed to look like that maybe they get put in virtual reality or something. and its gonna take some getting used to. i might see this movie. the only real experiance i have with the characters is the geico comercials. we'll see how this goes

Cruise isn't as big as he used to be. The couching jumping really hurt him.
Yes, one of the primary reasons Hirsh reminds me of early is Cruise is because of The Girl Next Door. He's been phenomenal in every movie I've seen him in.

It’s Harry & Larry – and after the Matrix sequels, particularly that last one – colour me cautious. Still, they are working with established material this time, so no need to rip off Grant Morrison’s Invisibles and try and pass it off as their own, as they did with the first (albeit highly entertaining) flick.

If the second half of the movie isn't just the scenes from the first half of the movie pieced together in a different order, then it's not Speed Racer. I also thought the trailer needed more grimaces. Everyone knows you can't be an intense race-car driver without grimacing behind the wheel.
