The 360's latest update was to look your friend's friends list and make a bio about yourself. (Which I'm planning to use to display my ranks) They're also releasing original Xbox games through downloads.

They have Psychonauts for downloading, which instantly earns them points in my book. Hopefully it'll catch on better than it did last time.

I noticed that they made transition starting and quiting games a little smoother too. Also, the centre button menus seem to pop up a lot quicker now.

I really like the idea of Xbox Originals, as I've been rooting around cheap bins myself lately looking for games. Not sure what the Originals lineup is going to be, but I'm definately looking forward to them adding more titles.

Love the Divx support. Love it. I'm thinking about moving my Phillips into the other room now so I have divx support on both TVs

Yessir it is. Along with the first Halo and Fable and a few more that I've forgotten. . .

I really don't see a point in seeing your friend's friends but I kinda like the bio part.

Screw the Family Timer. I'm not a daddy and I need all the time I can get nowadays . . .:p

So yeah, Originals is the best thing ot come out of the Update. :)\

Definately getting the first Halo and Psychonauts.

hopefully Psychonauts will be a very popular download and we'll get a sequel or at least and XBL Arcade game of it of some sorts. . .

I couldn't get it to work through windows media center connection, so it must mean if i put divx on a disc it will work.
But why would i do that when i can just convert it to show on my 360, damn waste of cds.

If you don't have a Media Center PC, you can't connect to your PC using the Media Center connection under SYSTEM.

You actually connect to your PC by going to MEDIA. Select VIDEOS like you're going to watch something on your hard drive then I think it's the Y button to switch to a different view. You would connect to your PC that way.

You have to setup your shares beforehand on your PC, but once you've done that you'll see the folders you are sharing.

You have to set up a couple of firewall exceptions and set WMP to share, but once you've done that, it should work off of any PC. Not Mac, but there is a program that does it for Mac now.

I do wish the timer was a bit more flexible. Like if I want to limit my play session for one time, so I can set it to turn off in one hour once.

The update is good now. The day I was updating was incredibly annoying. I couldn't get in a game on Live for like 20+ minutes. That was what annoyed me. Also it seems a little pointless. I mean a bio? Although the ability to see peoples friends is cool. My friend has like 93; that amazed me (way to much halo for him).

I did notice that old XBox games. Seems like a good idea. However, I don't really want to fill up my memory with old games. I can often find used copys of games at the rental store for cheap. I don't really know how the Live points work though. Not sure which is cheaper. I payed 12 bucks for an old copy of Halo. I think I saw on live it was like 1000 points. Is that just 10 dollars kinda like the Wii's system?

Edit: Don't they release new Halo Levels on tuesday? I think we need a thread...

800 points is $10. 1,200 points is $20 so,

I'm not sure if you understood.
I can watch videos from my computer on my xbox already, i can see pictures, play music etc etc.
But the xbox isn't seeing the xvid files, only the windows media player files.
So, if i take a xvid file, and run it through encode360, im fine, it sees it. If i don't do that, it doesn't see it.
I have to change firewall settings so it will recognize a particular filetype?

I have places to go, people to see, and no clock handy.

If you can access the PC, you should be fine. I don't know why it wouldn't be working. All I know is mine is working fine. So sucks to be you.
