Poker legend David "Chip" Reese has died at the age of 56 after being admitted to hospital showing symptoms of pneumonia and passed away in his sleep.
Chip was one of the true legends of the game, the youngest ever inductee into the poker hall of fame, a 3 time WSOP bracelet winer and probably the greatest cash game player ever.
No lesser authority than Doyle Brunson called him the greatest all around player in the world, a claim that Chip validated when he became the first player to win the innaugural $50,000 H.O.R.S.E. WSOP tournament last year.
Poker has lost its Jack Nicklaus and my thoughts are with his family and friends.
