I haven't gotten a chance to pick this up, but I will this afternoon. So, how did this issue fair? Good? Bad? Ugly? Thanks in advance.

*is just waiting for it to be over* So maybe then we can move on and see if Freddy is ready to be the new Captain Marvel or not.

The new artist continues to be incredibly impressive, and wait till you see the new Tawky Tawny....

I would say good. I read about a dozen comics this week and it was head and shoulders above everything else. The use of Talky Tawny was inspired. The art was good. It is one of the few mags that has maintained the idea of a new age of magic and notes changes in the "rules".

I actually like it.
It's my "guilty pleasure" book when you consider that since Judd Winick is writing it, I'm supposed to hate it from the depths of my fanboy soul. :D
I'm enjoying watching Freddy interact with the new forms of the gods and learning about how things work, as well as a new feeling that he really is earning these powers instead of being granted them.

Doubleplus Good. We meet Tawky Tawny who has been powered up due to the new Age of Magic and see the Black Marvel in action against him. Well worth ones money imo.

I agree completely, where does this series fall in terms of Countdown continuity?

I thought this was a great issue with a ton of action. Also nice to see more than just the physical powers of Gods are being used in this. Tawny was pretty cool. The art continues to be great and I thought it was inventive how Judd had the idea of hiding MErcury's whereabouts. The ending threw me off a little though. Was it to show Mercury was pissed off so he went on a destructive spree, or is it just to reflect that he ran the hell out of dodge so to speak so no one could get him ?

Tawky Tawny....wow he was just....wow. That was a huge "Holy s***!!!" moment. First he....then he....it was just jawdropping. I hope he recovers.
