To see the woman cast as Wonder Woman, click the following link.

Beware that its not quite "work safe".

The caveat to this is that while this Megan Gale will be playing Wonder Woman it WON'T be in the long rumored Wonder Woman movie. But instead in a live action Justice League movie. There's also casting news about the guy playing Batman in that floating around as well.

I have to admit, if this lady can act (no idea) she certainly LOOKS the part more than most. And while you can't really tell from the above picture, other pictures of her around the web reveal that like Diana, she's tall--5'10" out of heels apparently. So not quite "Amazon tall" but taller than many of the ladies we've seen shopped around for WW for years.

Here are a couple of pictures emphasizing how well Megan Gale can pull off that "taller than most of the men around her" thing that WW usually has going on.

If its not obvious, she's the one towering over both men and women in those shots.

EDIT - I just noticed Ain't It Cool News also posted about this (I got this elsewhere--from the link I gave at the head of this). AICN didn't have much more in the way of details, but they DID have this one very "goddessy" picture of Megan Gale, where I think you could almost mentally substitute red, white, blue and gold and get a general idea how she's look in Wonder-Gear. Sure, its a single piece dress, but the important thing is her stance.

Again, of course the big problem could be her acting. Who the heck knows if she can? According to IMDB most her previous filmography has been modelly-related - http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0301885/

Being a model.

That doesn't mean she CAN'T act. It just makes it a lot less likely.

On the other hand, as I said, if you add about 2 inches of height to her, she's pretty much what my mental picture of what an actual embodiment of WW would look like. Even the fact that her breasts are a bit more realistically sized (although the lady is FAR from flat-chested, as you can tell from these many photos).

The most shocking thing is that she's 32 years old. Probably its a good thing she's only being cast for 1 movie, because she'd never make it through an ongoing franchise.

Even if she cant act Diana wasnt that sociable when she came to Earth. She didn't know how other people were like so she was just kind of straight forward. Good actress actually.

If she can act, then I have no prob with her age.

So, she´s 32.

That´s like being 21 nowadays.

I think she has potential, in fact I think she's got the most potential of any of the JLA cast. This isn't the first time I've heard of Gale, she's supposedly a half decent actress, and if any of what I've read in the past was true she's actually a friend of Hugh Jackman so she might even have someone who's been in comic book movies before that could give her some support and ideas.

That said, the rest of my post I will just copy and paste from the one I made on Gail Simone's YABS:

I'm gonna be honest... I have lost ALL hope of this movie being anything more than the smoldering remains of what was the foundation of a grand movie idea.

I think Megan Gale is a decent choice. I'd prefer she put on more muscle for the part though; I'm one of the ones that agrees that Diana should look like a fitness model. Still, if she caa act, which I've heard she's not bad at, then she might be a small redeeming quality in a movie that sounds like it's being rushed, built during a writers strike, and already being used for plans for spin off movies of each individual hero, tying back into the JLA movie rather than giving them each their own individual story.

It just sounds like a another rush job by a hollywood studio trying to take advantage of the recent popularity of super hero movies. I'd hoped WB had learned it's lesson about quality in comic flicks with Batman Begins, but apparently I was wrong.

well she certainly has the height and beauty thing down packed. Now if she can only switch between sounding soft and elegant to harsh and toned when actting she's perfect... Still think they should just use voice over actors from the JLU series though.

Well, she does look pretty hot and the article is right, it seems that when I googled her I got mostly nudie pics. I'd like to see her build a little more muscle to be a little more believable WW figure personally, but she may be good

WW never struck me as harsh-sounding.
She may shout a bit when in battle, but in public occasions, I think she mostly sounds calm and polite with an undestinguishable accent.

When your in the middle of a tense argument unless your some kind of super egoist/narcissist you don't speak in soft tone, and I always thought of Diana as speaking calmly if not softly when not pressed in combat, in which then I would imagine her voice gets a little more tense and the words you might use are a lot more harsh if not harsh sounding.

that's how I imagine Wonder Woman might sound in the middle of combat, as oppose to a much more calmer soft speaking Diana Prince or Diana when shes with friends enjoying herself.

What´s her claim to fame?

She's done a bit of TV hosting (mainly doco shows) down here in Australia. She also appeared in a couple of Italian films.

Meanwhile, we won't be seeing her acting anytime soon, since the movie is on indefinite hiatus.
