OK, here's the lowdown on Cable & Deadpool #47...
Dr. Strange has transported Bob & Deadpool to another realm, on a mission because of something that they did which threatens the multiverse...
Their first stop brings DP and Bob face to face with "mindless ones" who worship Bob's glow stick. Deadpool gets to show off some of his sword skills. This mini-adventure ends with Bob & Deadpool jumping off of a rock and falling and falling -- until Dr. Strange transports them to another realm...
The next stop is Sarrizhimar -- a land of attractive women who are various colors and shapes. Deadpool correctly assumes that he and Bob are in danger. While they at first appear to be attracted to our boys, it quickly becomes apparent that the women would like to eat DP and Bob. Deadpool makes a hilarious comment about the women's jaws before they leave.
It's then revealed that the mission is to save T-Ray, and in turn to save the multiverse.
The next stop on their trip though the multiverse is on a boat, which is promptly attacked by a dragon. Deadpool attacks the dragon, and they are again teleported to another realm..
Deadpool begins to shoot the "exalted Brahl". Dr. Strange reminds him that bullets are useless against them. Deadpool switches to his sword. And once more Deadpool and Bob are transported this time to a mountain where T-Ray's body is... (Deadpool exclaims, "Holy George Perez -- look at all those damned steps!")
What it boils down to is -- Deadpool must use his sword to bring T-Ray back to life. Deadpool isn't happy about the situation, obviously. Then comes the funniest moment in the book, where Deadpool says, "This guy stole my identity -- even though he says I stole his -- and even though I know it's still open for debate depending on which writer you like best, I personally would really prefer that I still be me and he not be me by not being alive!" Bob and Dr. Strange just shrug after hearing this.
So, Deadpool finally brings T-Ray back to life.
This turns out to be only half of the process. T-Ray's body needs to be reunited with it's soul.
Dr. Strange transports Deadpool and Bob to Louisiana, where they are going to reunite T-Ray's body and soul -- at least presumably.
In the last panel, we see who's going to help integrate T-Ray's body and soul in the next issue -- Brother Voodoo!
(At the very bottom of the last page, there's a note that "Dear Deadpool" will return next month..)
The issue was a lot more entertaining then my summary. I left some of the jokes out. I am sure my fellow Deadpool fans will point out their favorite.
Fabian, if you're out there, you did a great job. I can't wait to see how you (& Reilly) are going to finish up the series. Ron Lim did a nice job with the art.
