another fan favorite question of mine: who has the worst, most impractical crime fighting costume? the list is potentially endless here, but my all-time least favorite/stupidest award would have to go to:
http://www.evenrobins.net/galleries/precrisisjason/Covers/batman368.jpg
Dick Grayson/Jason Todd Robin Boy Wonder
seriously, what in the hell were they thinking when they designed this God-awful, jailbait costume. Where the hell do you even begin? the green pixie boots, the fish-scaled underwear, the polo shirt with a miny cape? it pains me just to write about it.
If a girl wore it, now that's a different shade of green...

Robin? The brightly colored target meant to draw fire away from Batman? That's always been my take on his outfit, and for that it makes perfect sense,

I don't like the new robin outfit ether. Or any that has people wearing underwear outside of tights.

Star Sapphire and Supergirl's are pretty bad.

My vote is for Geo-Force. He looks less like a superhero and more like a GI Joe. It's bad enough that most people don't know squat about this guy, they have to make him look so generic, too? Way to draw attention away from the bigger names there, guys!

I won't take away from the quality of the writting that DC has, but one of my main gripes with this comic company was how 90% of the heros have always looked ridiculous, or very plain to me.
Apart from Batman.

Zatanna, looks like a 40's pin-up girl. And who can fight crime in fishnets and high heels, same goes for Black Canary. So many of girl supers flash a lot of flesh, (not that I mind, but a skin tight suit also gives that sexy factor) maybe it's a distraction tactic. But when you look at someone like Batman who's covered from head to toe in ballistic and shock proof flexible armor it just doesn't make sense.

Nightwing's original costume. Good lord it had a collar that went 2 feet past his head and an open V neck that went down to his gut. Talk about dated it looked like he was about to go to a diso not fighting crime.

The answer for many years was "most of the New Gods."
But they're dying now, so they're finally off the hook.

Come on, how can no one have said Wonder Woman?
I mean a strapless corset, thong panties, high heeled boots, bondage cuffs, rope and a razor sharp tiara?
That outfit isn't practial for walking down the street, much less fighting gods and monsters!

IIRC it was wrestlers and circus strongmen. Superman took elements of their costumes and it went from there.
And for the poor printing of 30s and 40s comics it helped break up figures.

i would say that, i mean yes it looks really stupid, but she's a goddess which is why it doesn't matter, same as power girl. black canary however.

my vote goes for Black Canary.
That is the stupidest most impractical costume for the person she is ever. I mean apart from robin.
Green Arrow looks pretty stupid too.

I'm really not digging Ryan Choi's Atom costume. Maybe if he had Ray's SWORD OF THE ATOM mask it might work...

Well it's not a look that works for me, thats why i prefer allot of Marvel costumes, because they bearly ever use that look.

Aquaman - for some reason, I cannot like a costume that is covered in fish scales
Big Barda - too much armor...much good it did her

Captain Cold - You're wearing a parka, but living in a temperate climate. Up until you fire off a round you've got to be sweating like crazy in the spring and summer.

To get back on subject, I think Robin's present costume looks stupid. Make his pants all black (w/o underwear on the outside) like the cartoon and it would look infinitely better. WW's costume is highly impractical. I've seen women fight with more on and a breast pops out. I would think that would happen with her a lot. Not to mention her always having to pull her underwear from her rear.

But does he look like WWF superstar Billy Gunn in that painting?

Green Arrow looks pretty stupid too.
Out of curiosity, what makes him look stupid? While I agree that the hat was a little too Robin Hood, I think the hood is pretty cool...as well as the rest of the costume.
My vote would have to go for Dr. Light. I can't get over how ugly that costume is...or the fact that the hero Dr. Light looks exactly like the villian Dr. Light.

If you´re confortable with the idea of painting a brightly colored target on a minor and sending him to the front line ..

The Supergirl Outfit with the white shirt and Mickey Mouse gloves was horrendous.
In defense of Jay Garrick, I always liked his costume; it's kind of minimalist and the hat is unique (although one has to wonder where he got it from).

Jay got it from the kitchen. It's just a metal soup bowl. The reason it always looks the same is because he has his woman wash it for him.
Seriously, Ted Kord's costume sucked. Batman's sucks (if he did the whole Tengu thing it would be way better), Bane's sucks, the old Checkmate bumblebee costumes suck, Mr. Miracle's sucks, Jason Todd's sucks, any of Flash's villains suck, Metamorpho looks metasexual, the list is nearly infinite. Who do these people think they are?

Probably any of the outsiders. But it could just be that I think the Outsiders are lame.
The Kon-El jeans and t-shirt. At least look like a professional when you dress to fight crime.

I liked that look, it was realistic to what one of us would wear to fight crime and it looked better then Supes outfit.

*Salutes Wonder Woman's Underwear*
I pledge alligence to her flags of highnesses curvey figure
and her buttocks for its so grand, one lady whom is a god
who is invincible as she inspires horniess and perversions for all!
Despite the color scheme Wonder Woman isn't the worst offender though.
I still can't wrap my head around customes of most DC heroes, it's like the villains are the only ones with any kind a asthetical sense.

It's like someone decided to combine all of the worst excesses of early 90s Image costume in a single uninspired, derivative mishmash.
