Quick Q for the Wii-Informed

1. If I'm playing, say X-Men Legends I on a Gamecube, can I save it, then go over to a friend's house and put the game and card in, then resume play at the last save point?
2. Will I then be able to save on the Wii?
3. Can this process work in reverse?

Let me know if I'm being vague or whatever. I tried to Google this, but apparently I keep using the wrong phrasing or something.

I think so. Never tried it but there shouldn't be a problem.

well, Wii's memory card slots are perfectly compatible with GC memory cards so I assume so

I don't understand. You save the data to the memory card. The Wii is compatible with cube controllers and cards. You can also transfer cube game data from SD cards to cube memory cards.
