Okay
Mister Miracle in Death of the New Gods has embraced the anti-life equation and his appearance has changed, yet in countdown he appears to not have done so.
In Countdown to Mystery, Eclipso is on earth corrupting people and will have a collision with Bruce Gordon. Yet in Countdown she has lost the diamond to Black Mary.
In the Sinestro Wars, Superboy Prime is fighting the DC earth, yet in Countdown he is universe hopping in a black outfit and looks older.
Donna Troy is traveling around the multiverse in a storyline thats going right up to Final Crisis, yet she is going to be in the new Titans series in about a months time as a member of the team.
It seems as through Countdown has become a microcosm for DC history of really f*ed up continuity errors.
No! In a series that was supposed to fix all the continuity errors?!? (sarcasm intended)
Or perhaps Didio is having a big laugh at everyone's expense, and they'll do a huge "universal reset" similar to the "Zero Hour" series....

Good point.
Looks to me like they need to go on an editing retreat and try to salvage this quagmire of conflicting stories.
Also, it's not as if Marvel are doing any better. WWH tore through New York, which is the setting of about half Marvel's titles, and you'd barely know it happened outside of the specifically WWH-labeled titles.
Continuity these days seems to take a back seat to trying to get as many "Holy sh!t" moments into a crossover as possible. They're just throwing everything at the wall and waiting to see what sticks.

The Search for Ray Palmer books have probably been the most useless and remain a non factor regarding Countdown as a whole until they actually find Ray.

it is. its soo out of control. BUt dan didio will just say oh countdown is the main time line, and every other comic is in the future or past. which is completly messed up but w.e

I wouldn't say that it has spun out of control--it was never particularly well-put-together anyway.

The only thing is that sinestro corp takes place in the past. everything else, yeah.

Here maybe this will help
I've tried to piece it all together, but I haven't updated it lately...
-Countdown 51 – 44
-Justice League/Justice Society: Lightning Saga
-Flash, the Fastest Man Alive: Full Throttle/All Flash
-Countdown 43 - 34
-Sinestro Corps War
-Countdown 32 – 31
-Justice League of America Wedding Special/Injustice League
-Countdown 30 – 28
-Gotham Underground # 1
-Countdown 27
I believe that's how most of it goes. I could be wrong in a couple of issues
Makes sence to me

I disagree. I have enjoyed everyone so far. They have explained where that group is and what they have been doing better than countdown has. Also that book serves to show you what each planet in the multiverse has on it.
Here's what happened: DC did 52 and it was a hit. But DC didn't know if it was going to be a hit or not so the only tie-in they could fit in was "World War III."
Cue Countdown. DC expects a hit on par with 52 and decides to tie it to everything except the kitchen sink. Ray Palmer, the New Gods, Salvation Run, the Extremists, Amazons Attack, Countdown to Adventure, the Black Canary/Green Arrow wedding, Countdown: Arena, Countdown to Mystery, Countdown to Sneezy, Countdown to Doc, Countdown to Grumpy, Countdown to Bashful, Countdown to Dancer, Prancer and Vixen. The list is nigh endless.
Is that out of control? It's up to you. Seems that way to me, though.

This bothered me too, along side the fact that he wasn't with Superman and Orion like he was in DOTNG 3.
In Countdown to Mystery, Eclipso is on earth corrupting people and will have a collision with Bruce Gordon. Yet in Countdown she has lost the diamond to Black Mary.
I figured this was happening before Countdown, or at least before Eclipso met Mary in Countdown. Thus the meeting with Eclipso and Darkseid in the second issue of Countdown to Mystery which would lead into her getting Mary
In the Sinestro Wars, Superboy Prime is fighting the DC earth, yet in Countdown he is universe hopping in a black outfit and looks older.
Sinestro wars happens early on in Countdown (before Kyle became a player with the Challengers) or possibly before it. My guess is early on

No clue on this one
