Okay - as there are a lot of posts about crap costumes/cool costumes of late, this has led me to think about what exactly do heroes carry in all their little pouches, belt attachments/ man bags etc.

1990's Cyclops is a perfect example. He's covered in pouches - but what exactly is he carrying in all these Polly Pockets? :) I;m thinking.....

1) POUCH 1 - Keys for his & Jean's appartment.
2) POUCH 2 - Keys for Maddie's appartment.
3) POUCH 3 - Keys for Coleen's appartment.
4) POUCH 4 - Keys for the appartment of that blonde pilot he was trapped on that island with.
5) POUCH 5 - Some seriously strong/noxious/manly/stud aftershave.
6) POUCH 6 - packet of Trojans.
7) POUCH 7 - breath mints/spray.

And what about all the others? Cable's another member of the "pocket me up!" brigade. What's he packing?

What were those strange pads on the legs of Jean's 1990's costume for? I'm betting they hold Jean's written instructions on her next funeral arrangements (well it saves time later on doesn't it....?)

What does Dazzler keep in that glitter bag of hers (excluding the skates of course.)

Nothing like that at all. I just always found it terribly ironic how comics are written for a certain demographic. This demographic isn't exclusive, of course, but I think the majority of mainstream comics are written for young, straight, males.

And yet, it is amazing how much of the industry is fueled by the gay community. I have straight friends who are astounded when they realize how many gay men are at comicons etc. I think it's really nice. :)

Anyway, you wouldn't need to be tech-savvy. It would be a thread where the gays could talk about their favorite x-men and also put up their myspace or facebook or whatever link or pictures. Sort of a means to network all things that combine x-men and gays. ;)
