Awhile back I learned of the Marvel Knights team book and it seems they tried to do a team book twice. I personally never heard of the series until it was a few issues before being canceled. For anyone that did read it why do you think it failed? The roster it had was Moon Knight, Cloak, Dagger, Doctor Strange, and some others. lol I have yet to read the series, but why did it fail? If I recall correctly most of the Marvel Knights line books that were coming at the time were selling well.

i didn't like the art. but, mainly, it was bad timing. none of the characters were as big as they are now.

I bought the first two issues, IIRC (possibly 3), and simply didn't find it interesting enough to continue. I liked the concept, but the execution didn't wow me.

One thing that I recall really turned me off was that this was supposed to be a sort of Defenders/Non-Team Team book of street-level heroes, and yet in the first arc, their opponent was Ulik the Asgardian Rock Troll. Not exactly the stuff street-level mayhem is made of.

I have both mini-series and enjoyed them a lot at the time. There was some nice character interplay, particularly the friction between Daredevil and The Punisher. I can't remember too much about the actual story lines but from memory I'd give the book a 7 out of 10.

Because it was Chuck Dixon at his hackiest and most cliche'd.

While I liked it and it seemed solid, it never seemed to really shine.
