Has anyone purchased one of those DVD collections that Marvel is putting out that collects huge complete runs of their main titles? I am thinking of buying the 40 Years of X-Men collection, but I have some questions for anyone who has bought one of them.
Does it only collect Uncanny X-men or does it also include adjectiveless X-Men? How is the picture quality? Can it be watched on a regular DVD player and not just on a computer screen?
The reason I ask is because I am starting to run out of space for my comic collection. I have a complete run of Uncanny from about 130-470 and various issues before that. I could get a decent chuck of change for those comics and could still have them on the DVD.

My cousin has one and it only includes Uncanny X-Men plus bios from OHOTMU: X-Men.
It doesn't work on DVD players...I think. A menu pops up but none of the comics do.
The picture quality is alright; its a little grainy for screen captures (there is no unlocked save option) but is completely readable.
One thing to look for is make sure your computer requirements meet the guidelines. It shuts down on both mine and my cousin's computers occasionally. :)

I have the X-Men one, and I think it is great! It only covers the Uncanny title all the way from issue 1 and all the annuals, so no adjectiveless...
The picture quality is fine, but I guess that depends on your computer... I have no idea if you can watch it on a regular DVD player...
If your collection starts with #130 you should get it, Claremont's first issues were great...
My own collection starts from Giant Size X-Men, so I got the DVD just for the pre-Claremont area with the original team, but its still is fun to have for all the stories...
