Tenchi question

I didn't know where to put this thread, but since it's anime related... here it is.

In the Tenchi Ova, what exactly are Tenchi's powers besides the light hawk wings? Can he do everything Ryoko can do? How about the Chousin's abilities? I know he's supposed to be the most powerful but does he have feats or are his powers just implied?

He nearly destroyed the universe with his LHWs just by getting angry and it took all of the Choushin's power to contain it and they barely able to accomplish that. So he's definitely proven his mantle as the strongest character.

His powers also seem to originate from an entity higher than Choushins. That being is currently known Tenchi-Kami(at least when he/she is inhabiting Tenchi's body). The OAV leaves more questions than resolutions unfortunately.

Yeah, the general impression is that as time goes on, Tenchi will become more familiar with his powers.

This seemed true for Z as well. Z started out with Light Hawk Wings, but by the time we saw him in the 3rd OVA, he had mastered matter manipulation, faster than light travel, teleportation, energy blasts and shockwaves that could break apart planetary bodies, regeneration, etc. In the final episode of the OVA, Tenchi demonstrated teleportation as well as the ability to survive in space without having to summon his LHW's first. Also, in GXP, without using any powers at all his base running speed was greater than what Seina could accomplish, even though Seina had undergone GXP genetic engineering to have super speed, and he was riding a bike.

So Tenchi's power is growing, but he isn't god like yet. He has the potential to become God because of some connection that he has to his Universe's God. He's like Tenchi-Kami's mortal avatar or something to that effect. The act of nearly ripping the dimensions with that quake was a fluke involving his powers going out of control. Washu said herself that Tenchi wasn't ready to ascend to higher dimensions like that and would die in the process of breaking the universe apart.

As for the Choushin, they are pretty much Gods. You can consider them to be the Omnipotent creators of the Tenchi Universe--it just turns out that there is indeed at least one being higher than them that they discovered, but his role in the creation of the universe isn't told, because we know the Choushin were the ones who created the multiverse we're familiar with (containing the Tenchi Universe and the Dual: Parrallel Trouble Universe). So they're the second Tier supreme beings.

So Z was pretty much a reality warper? Wasn't there something Tenchi was able to do that Z wasn't or was that just the link to the supreme being?

Tenchi could covert his Light Hawk Wings into objects, such as a sword, armor, shield, energy boomerang, etc. Also, he reversed a blackhole while seemingly unconcious.

This power was refered to as "Material Conversion." Z could manipulate matter using his own powers, at least to the extent that he could convert the words in an e-mail letter without physically rewritting it, and he could convert himself to light and then back to matter; but he didn't have the ability to make his LHW's anything other than their base form.
