I'm probably the only person that obsesses about this type of stuff but it looks like USM is returning to a normal, 12 issues per year comic book.

Here is the credits page for #114 and check out the blurb at the bottom of the page that states published Monthly except semi-monthly in May, September & November by MARVEL PUBLISHING INC.

Color me a little sad. Although it's not too surprising. I don't think that there is anyone on the planet who is as fast as Bagley - except maybe Sergio Aragones?

It's sad, but I'm more than happy to give Stuart Immonen the full month to draw the book. The extra issues were the exception that only Bagley would be capable of these days.

I remember Warren Ellis saying that Stuart Immonen was turning in pages for Ultimate Fantastic Four incredibly quickly. But then I thought Immonen's art in UFF was way below his usual standard

Yeah, but did you read this: (http://www.comicbookresources.com/news/newsitem.cgi?id=12485)

Asked if it was good to be back working with "Ultimate Spider-Man" collaborator Mark Bagley following artist Frank Cho's departure from "Mighty Avengers," Bendis explained there was no actual break in their working relationship. "Actually, me and Mark went straight from 'Ultimate Spider-Man' to the 'Spider-Man 3' comic we did for Wal-Mart," Bendis said, referring to the exclusive comic packaged with the DVD. "Then it was on to 'Mighty Avengers,' which he's already finished, and an 'Ultimate Spider-Man' project we have coming up next year."

I saw that and am very interested to see what this project will be. Guess he'll be finishing this before moving to DC.

I dont' see how he could draw all that stuff so quickly. I've seen the book. His stuff is all over the merchandise, too. I know this is a taboo subject but I wonder what he made ($) a page.

He's a f'n MACHINE!!! Plus, he probably doesn't antagonize over pages like som artists. Some guys will redraw 1 page over and over. He "may" just get it right the 1st time.

And yes, Marvel decided some time ago to make Ultimate Spidey the merchandising version. Maybe in 2008 they'll make the new "Spectacular Cartoon Spidey" stuff too.
