DC put out years ago a special secret origins that summerized all the big events in DC, (COIE, LEGENDS, INVASION, ARMAGEDDON 2001, ZERO HOUR etc)

I just can't remember the name of it!

The history of the DCU backup feature in the first countdown books is another good one. probably the best.
