After reading the Immortal Iron Fist annual, I've been really excited to see more of Orson Randall's adventures. Hopefully we'll get to see more of his back-up crew also.

While I would like Iron Fist to come out on time, this MORE than makes up for it. Cant go wrong with this one, no Chaykin (who ruined the Annual for me).

Looks like a win/win issue for me.

BTW the green mist of death is really noxious gas from Fat Cobra.

Yes, the team on this issue is fantastic. And this part of the solicit sounds great:

i just ordered Immortal Iron fist vol 1

I got the first trade a few months ago and it was awesome. I can't wait for vol 2 to be solicited. Orson was great and so I can't wait for this to be included in the trade (hopefully vol 2).

It seems the Prince of Orphans ID has been spoiled, right on here (http://www.marvel.com/news/comicstories.1942.Immortal_Iron_Fist%3A_Warriors%2 7_Ways)Marvel's website, of all places.

PRINCE OF ORPHANS
Another cipher, the enigmatic Prince seems to have a past with Lei Kung the Thunderer, Danny Rand's mentor, but he also shares his origins with another character. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amazing_Man_(Centaur_Publications))

It seems more like good detective work from you. I have never heard of this character, and looking at the age of the comic I dont think much people have.

Identity-wise, I think things could still be somewhat up in the air.

"We agreed that one of the champions should be loosely based on the character that Iron Fist was inspired by according to his co-creator, [writer] Roy Thomas in early letters pages," chimes in Brubaker. "That became the Prince of Orphans."

When I first read the article I had the same thoughts about Amazing Man. But that doesn't discount Wendell Rand either (though I hope it isn't him)

I know it's a belabored point, but Immortal Iron Fist is the best comic book out right now - and I seriously worry about anyone who can't fully appreciate why it is so. I know, different strokes for different folks, but this book is what any great comic should be: excellent storyline, twists and unexpected turns that aren't contrived, memorable supporting characters, stunning art, a complete backstory and mythology, and no noticeable production lags. Hell, even the cover art is consistently great.

This is the holy grail of comic books, and I could only wish there were more like it that were as painstakingly crafted.

I hope that they do enough Orson stuff so that we can get a trade just of Orson, plus a trade of non-Rand/Orson Iron Fist stories. That'd be cool :)

(I'm not trade waiting as an aside, I double-dip for IF :) )
