I know that Winick often gets a bad rap - and yes, sometimes for good reason - but I do sort of feel that this book is being overlooked somewhat. Two issues in and I already think it is one of DC's very best books. Gorgeous art, entertaining story, a real sense of fun, great character bits, seriously superb dialog and really funny too - this comic has everything that you could want from a superhero book. Admittedly, there are times when Winick's annoying need to shoehorn some preachiness into absolutely everything that he writes does threaten to drag the whole thing down but thankfully he has by and large kept this unfortunate tendency in check here.

Anyone else reading this? If so, what do you think about it?

I do really like it so far, but I wouldn't classify it as one of DC's best books - yet. There have only been two issues, and while they have been good, they haven't been absolutely outstanding. I like the art and most of the writing, but some of the characterization has been off a little bit.

And yeah, the preachiness is a little annoying...but after going through his whole run on GA I'm (sadly) kind of used to it by now. I have high hopes for this book, but the "upcoming tragedy" in the solicitations does have me a little concerned about the direction of the book. I'm hoping it's not just another death for shock value and that this tragedy will be done well.

Oh yeah, this worries me too. I would be really happy for DC not to kill off another character for the next ten years. It's really gotten out of hand and this book has been such a FUN read, I would hate for it to be compromised by this moronic trend.

I'm loving it, this comic I been reading over and over when I first bought it.

It's a fun read and I'm enjoying the storyline as it plays out.

I completely agree.

Best book I've read this month and last month, and that's tall praise because there's been a couple of excellent books on my pull list in the last two months.

As an avid reader of Winnick's work on Green Arrow since OYL, my concern all along has been that, while Winnick's characterizations are priceless, the stories are rarely particularly compelling. Winnick gets by on great one liners much of the time without delivering much else. I'm seeing that continue in this new story arc. If we don't get a story worth reading soon, I'm going to start losing interest. Great characterization with no plot can only last so long before it becomes disturbingly repetitive.

I've really enjoyed both issues, and I normally do not care for Winnick at all. Its been fun though, and Cliff Chiang is a guy who I'd love to see get more work. He was one of the bigger motivating factors for me ordering this series in the first place.

The thing I most like about this book is the newfound sense of stability. I've read GA since the Grell run and what always had me smiling was the interplay between Ollie and Dinah....no matter who the writer....the characters have just always been so good together. So when they started breaking up/dying/pointlessly kissing young girls et cetera it always took me a while to get used to them apart.

So even though they've not had much contact thus far in the run, the book is a dream come true for me. I cannot wait to see them on page together properly and whatever the upcoming tragedy is I hope it doesn't piss me off too much
