I plan to make it as an online resource. This already brings it into a niche market as very few interactive comics are available. The few that are online are interactive in the sense that you can scroll over single cell paynes and there is a small slight animation i.e colour change or soundbite, i want the interactivity to contsruct the way the narrative falls for the player, very much like those adventure books that we read as kids with different page numbers for different choices. So there will be multiple endings, but i have limit them to the point that i can actually create the piece within my time scale and more than enough so there is a good repeat value. I have recently thought that some of the choices the player can make could be very small interactive games with a yes/no outcome to involve the player more. However i dont want to "over egg" the piece as i know that avid comic book readers know what they like and dont want to hve things changed. So these elements of artwork, narrative and all mise en scene within the piece have to be within keeping of fans likes as well as being accessable to knew readers and online users. My hope is that this could get commissioned and then a series of the interactive graphic novels/comics, could be released over time.
Do you have any thoughts on the current situation of comics?
Do you think the genre might die out soon?
Do you think that comics might need to be brought into a digital age?
Do you think there might be a need for more online graphic novels and comics?
Do you think there is any space for an interactive graphic novel?
I will be uploading character artwork, dialogue and narrative plots soon
Thanks again guys
