Do you want to know where a certain hero is during these last major stories, or where they went after? Then let's ask, someone out there knows.

I want to know where the Phanton Stranger has been since before IC events and after, same with Swamp Thing.

Well, Phantom Stranger's been doing the introduction to almost every issue of SHADOWPACT. Kinda in fitting with his old role as a horror-book host.

Swamp Thing is Vertigo property now. Besides a slight cameo during INFINITE CRISIS, he's off limits to mainstream DCU books.

Why is it exactly that Vertigo-ers are vertboten in the DCU? Didn't Animal Man go Vertigo and then come back?

I'm a Marvel fan really and therefore rather ignorant about the DC Universe but I remember in the issues of Superman that I read as a kid, back in the early 80s, there was often a back-up story featuring Atom and Air Wave. They were kinda fun, short stories and consequentially I've always had a bit of a soft spot for both characters.

I know that Atom's still around (there were humorous pictures of him hiding between Power Girl's breasts posted in this forum not so long ago) although I have no idea what he's been up to other than that.

But what about Air Wave? Whatever happened to him?

Atom disappeared after the events of Identity Crisis when it was revealed that his ex-wife was Sue Dibny's killer. Now, the Great Disaster is coming, and it's said that he's the one man who can prevent it. This is a big plot in Countdown, so much so that it's spun off into its own Countdown book - The Search for Ray Palmer, which explores the multiverse.

Air Wave went with Donna Troy and her assembled team to the center of the universe during Infinite Crisis and he was split apart into different radio waves. This, of course, means he's not dead, because this is comic books and no one's really dead unless you see the body, which you didn't.

Zatanna kinda shifts back and forth too, but a lot of it is that they don't want kids reading the main DC books, then gravitating towards Vertigo because they saw a character they liked.

If it were up to me, the reason I'd keep Swamp Thing under Vertigo is to draw more attention to the Alan Moore paperbacks.

I miss Hourman. The Tyler one.

He should be back by now, shouldn't he? Degaton said that his disappearance would only be for a relative year, and LO, we have this event after Infinite Crisis called *gasp* One Year Later.

When was he a horror-host? I knew he hosted and introed some of his OWN stories...

Here's what I want to know, which is a reverse of the intended question for the thread...

But in the Infinite Crisis hardcover, the Protector is at the church scene.

Why is the Protector at the church scene? Has he been integrated into the DCU? Do they plan to?

Protector's been in the DCU for a while; he was in a Titans East special several years back when Beast Boy and Flamebird were trying to get a team together.

OK, thanks for the update. Hopefully one day the powers that be will decide to bring him back. Any hero whose power is that they can turn into TV and Radio waves and travel through the air or along communications wires is A-OK with me. :)

Hmmmm...I wonder if the modern day prevalence of digital broadcasting will mean that essentially his powers are now useless?

He appeared as leader of a hypertime version of the Titans as leader of a group of Titans that consisted of (Thunder, Lightning, Jade, Magenta and a male Ravager).

He also got a Who's Who entry in one of the Updates years back.

No he did not have a speaking part in the Secret files.

I believe the Church scene marks the Super Friend's Samurai's first canoical appearance in the DCU.

Not since she was part of Firestorm's makeshift JLA in 52.
