We have only really seen the Earth-22 (KINGDOM COME) Superman in his later years, past the prime of his career. What were this particular Superman's younger, prime years like? Was his life story and early career more like that of the Pre-COIE Earth-One Superman (i.e. the Silver/Bronze Age Superman), or the Post-COIE New Earth Superman (i.e. the Modern Age Superman)?

Please don't use "prime" as a term when discussing KC Supes. It doesn't fit.:D
I imagine his younger years were like Modern Age Supes, since isn't KC his older self? Just with better scenery thanks to Mr. Ross.;)

I think "Justice" is actually a prequel to KC (this is just my opinion, I can't prove it), so that's what I think his prime years were like.

Superman's fortress in "Kingdom Come" matched the post-Crisis look, so I can only assume he was meant to be the future version of that Superman.

Yeah, the statues of his birth parents matched the Byrne Krypton and there was a Kryptonian battle suit from that era as well. Plus, he didn't cut his long hair (the "super mullet") until he returned to active duty.
I imagine KC Superman is what Post-COIE Superman's life would have been like had the storylines diverged sometime around the wedding. So, everything from 1986 through the middle of '96 would hold up as his history.

The two universes are vastly different; one is a retro 70s pre-Crisis (except everyone lives on the same Earth), one is early-90s post-Crisis. For example, Wonder Woman can't fly in Justice, but she can in KC. And KC being the future of Justice kind of spoils the optimistic ending of that story.

I can deal with "Justice" Superman being the young version of KC Superman, back in the glory days. Why not.
There's no indication of any "pre-crisis", "retro" or "post-crisis" involvment, unless you look at the presence/absense of Supergirl in each story. It's still Earth-22, which we have no idea of it's history.
