Chinatown. Its been a long time coming. Been worth the wait?

Absofreakinglutely. I loved this! Truly a completely different way of looking at the Goon. It was very serious with some very touching moments. The art, as usual for Powell, is incredible. I can't even begin to describe how much i enjoyed it. For anyone else who picked it up, how'd you like it? And for those who haven't picked it up yet, well you should.

I liked the darker tone of Chinatown. Definitely worth it.

I wish it was longer. I'm glad The Goon's going monthly in January.



I really dug that full page sequence of him staring in the mirror.

When Frankie's "knife to the eye" gag came up, it was kinda blindsided me somehow. The humor taken out of it. Some thug had been torturing him. It wasn't a zombie or giant squid this time.

Seeing that blood soaked knife coming up. Oh, shit.

It is a thing of sheer beauty, both in story and art.

And Franky with a beard cracked me up.
