Actually that would most likely just be another member of his race because the DCU version of Arkkis Chummuck died back before the first Crisis

Well, they're ALL GL. So I guess you mean the um... most famous one.

And I don't think its disproportionate. I just think its a bit like seeing him at the doctor when he's asked to go "ahhhh" for the tongue depressor.

I didn't notice the pointy ears. Hmm, I just don't know anyone else that wears the green face mask like that.

Plenty of GLs wear masks, just not as many as there used to be.

So it is okay for you and others to get smart, but not me because I'm better at it, or I have a history, lol. If we agree to both drop our tones, that would be cool.

I don't think it is the cover of the GL either, but whom it is, we won't know until the book comes out I guess.

How do the Green Lantern folks keep track of the characters and races, out of curiosity? Does the artist get free reign in a shot like this, or do they have a rolodex full of alien races? I couldn't imagine how to approach this if I were the artist told to make a spread with a crapload of aliens fighting each other...

I'm sure they make up as much aliens as they can. I saw both "Alien" and "Predator" Sinestro Corpss members and they certainly are capable of instilling great fear ;)

So yeah the artists who make these crazy splashes tend to go crazy with the aliens and make as many weird ones as they can on the spot (like Ethan) but there are referenced ones mix as well.
