Superman turning 70!

Next year Superman turns the big 70 does any one know if DC have anything planned?

Given that there's currently 3 different Supermen running around the DCU right now and Kal-L is no doubt due for a return from beyond the grave, I'd say DC has something special cooked up.

I was thinking maybe a special line of books or a convention. Something along those lines.

Word on the street is that "Final Crisis" will bring back one, unified DC universe, but this time, all the characters will be merged versions of the various different incarnations seen throughout the history of the DCU.

Following that, all books will have a special issue acting as a new "Year One" of sorts, telling the definitive origin post-FC and launching the characters for new readers.

The highlight of this will be a new Superman with a mostly Silver Age origin, but with elements of Smallville, the Donnerverse, current comics, and other aspects added.

It's actually Kingdom Come Superman. Powergirl frets about it since he reminds her of Kal-L.

Anyhow, I say DC should celebrate the big "seven-oh" by throwing a sexy party. :p

Metropolis, Illinois, has their annual Superman Celebration. And some people here in Cleveland are wondering why a small town in the middle of nowhere can do that every year and we've done it once.

DC hasn't been doing the best job keeping this stuff under wraps.

Could it be misdirection? Maybe, but not likely from what I've heard.

Allegedly, DC has some big plans for the king of kings (:D) next year. And I feel that, somehow, Infinite Crisis has something to do with it.

Anyway, they better do something OUT OF THIS WORLD, or else...
