It's exactly what a platformer should be. It's the awesomesauce!!!
Awesomesauce, dammit!!!
I've been having a ball playing it tonight. I'd still be playing but Eric took it away from me... it's only fair, it was after all his really early Christmas present.
Anybody else got it, yet?

Ok enough for her to ignore me - FOR HOURS!
Kidding, kidding.
But she really can't say enough good about how much fun it is.

I just want to say that anyone who has a Wii and this game is a poophead.
A poop poop poopy poophead who smells like poop.
I hate you all.
Also, you're a poophead.
....
I wanna play!
That game DOES look ridiculously fun.

Are there any other good games for the Wii? Thinking of getting one.

Not yet, waiting on the local Toys R Us to get more in (cause of the free $25 gift card with purchase). I still haven't beat Super Mario Sunshine, only got halfway through, trying to decide if should finish it.

Quinn, my six year old, has been playing it since he got it on Tuesday. He's got 32 stars so far. He's conned his little sister (4) into doing some of the dirty work of collecting star bits with the player 2 controller. He loved, and finished, Mario 64, Mario Sunshine, and Mario 64 DS, so Galaxy is pure crack for him.

I think its beat out Super MArio World as my all time fav Mario game. The level design is ridiculously amazing, the controls are flawless, and the game looks great-even on my old 27'' tube tv.
But i do have a couple complaints; I'm 60 or so stars in and I have to say it's been a walk in the park so far, and the camera can get away from you. I prefer the M64 camera.

Twilight Princess
Super Paper Mario
Wario Ware
And to this day- whenever I have people over, we play Wii sports.
I had just about lost interest in video games before the Wii. Not interested in realistic racing games and I've had enough of first person shooters.
That being said I find myself spending more time on the virtual consol.

My last console was a N64. And i only bought it to play Pokemon Snap.
Which i played solid for about a month. And was done.
I have been tempted to get a x360 or whatever the name of it is. I just don't know anymore. =(

Hey Eric Sally and I bought you a copy of Super Mario Galaxy. Now go clean the ferrets pen while I play it all damn day.
I think the conversation went something like that.

The Zelda game is really good. It really puts the Wii through it's paces. Wii Play and Wii Sports are great for multi-player silliness and Wario Smooth Moves will make you look like an idiot in your own living room and you'll still be having a blast.

Yep, I gots me some Mario Galaxy. I'll be playing it tonight, with Sarah running star-chip collector backup.
And Sarah normally hates Mario games, too.
It truely is a great game.

The only Mario game I ever remember playing from beginning to end was Super Mario RPG for the Super Nes. That was a great game.

This thread makes me sad, because it reminds me that Monkey Boy and Azrael 52 don't post too much anymore.:(

I just got a Wii from my wife for Xmas, so I grabbed Super Mario Galaxy to play on it. Even though I'm fighting a cold and am tired as hell after a really long day, I'm still considering hooking the damn thing up and playing all night.

I have to admit, with my anti-video game head hung in shame, that I actually asked Shel to play this several times over the weekend. It's fun!
I love that this is clearly the first game ever designed for gamers with girlfriends. I had fun collecting the little star bits - a lot of it!
I even played by myself for a bit and collected a couple stars on my own before I got frustrated. Which is shocking, really.
