Sasuke/Ninja Warrior

I did a search and was surprised that a thread on this show doesn't exist. I was watching Sasuke 19 on G4 tonight. It's the one where G4 sponsered 2 guys from the US to go to Japan and try and conquer it.

Well, neither Colin Bell nor Brett Sims were able to get past the first stage. But that's kinda okay, because Sasuke 19 is clearly the most difficult first stage of the show's history. Only 2 out of 100 made it past the first stage, and none of the all-stars made it. Not even Nagano :eek:!!!

I hope they producers will tone it down a bit for Sasuke 20, because all these failures can't be good for ratings and the show's health.

My thought was the opposite; the show has been going on for almost ten years now and after Nagano finished (and don't forget, Japanese audiences had to wait seven years for someone to finish it) they had to do something to get the audience and the competitors interested in the show, something to entice people like the All-Stars to come back. If anything, they made the 18th competition too easy and they tried to remedy it with making the 19th harder which is fine by me.
