Yes and no. :)
Bruce Jones brought her back with some awful storytelling.
Peter David, in a story using Nightmare, said, it all COULD have been a dream, when Hulk was on an island created by Nightmare. At the end of that story, Betty may or may not have washed up on that island.
That work for you?

It wan't bad at first, had a good style, tone, and direction to it. Bruce on the run, alone, conspiracies and all that...
But then it became a convoluted mess (most people agree the Absorbing Man arc was when it REALLY dropped the ball), kinda like how the X-Files really lost it with their main storyline.
Betty was surgically altered, called herself Mr. Blue, and helped Bruce (unaware of who she was) along the way.
And there were too many other things I hated that made me drop the book. (You'll find differing opinions on this, many loved it, many hated it, I'm just a single voice out here at the moment...)
But according to World War Hulk #3, a comment made by her father, General Ross, was as far as anybody seems to know, she's dead.

If the actual writers of the Hulk read this, which they do, I would say to them, we know Marvel wants to bundle a whole story arc's worth of issues and resell them as a graphic novel. That's fine.
But remember the format is montly, not twice-a-year novels. Please have good Hulk fisticuffs in almost every montly issue, so you can avoid the problems plaguing Hulk for years until just before Planet Hulk. Entire issues with only the Hulk's shoulder making an appearance aren't gonna cut it.
P.S. You might want to do better higher-level planning to coordinate with movies, too, so you don't end up with an issue of Hulk on the stands the same week the movie comes out, with said shoulder making the only appearance. But that's something for the people way up atop Marvel Comics and Marvel Movie Productions to enforce...

Well, not all Bruce Johnes stories were good, but as a whole I think it was a great run, and it was something different. It may be too long for what it was, but I didn't have a problem. That is also just my opinion. For me, Johnes run ends in #69, from #70 and forth it went on MK, and it was really stupid, especially the last story.
