Does anyone read or watch a manga/anime series that's about sports?.I've read eyeshield 21 and loved even though i'll never play football in my country and i've
heard Prince of tennis has a loyal fanbase. are there any other series aside from these two that other people enjoy?

Slam Dunk is amazing! Like I wrote in another thread, I have the Singaporean editions that I bought in Japan which have an ok English translation with occaisonal mistakes.

Supposedly Viz is going to start reprinting the series early next year.

I've read some of Harlem Beat. Was pretty good.

I also liked what I've read from Harlem Beat.

Though it's not considered proper sports, Hikaru no Go is awesomeness.

Again, though it's not considered proper sports, Initial D is very popular (not with me, though).

Eyeshield 21 and prince of tennnis are some of my favorite manga/ anime in general, buzzer beater is anothe good anime, I'm hearing they are coming out with a really detailed anime about Hockey which should be very interesting, since hockey is a naturally violent sport.

I'm enjoying Whistle, a soccer manga. I don't know of Baki the Grappler qualifies as sports, though.

I haven't picked it up, but there's a new manga series out called "Gothic Sports" about a Goth girl who is turned down for her school's soccer team, so she gets all the other outcasts together, and forms a Goth soccer team. The 2nd volume just came out @ B& N.
