The industry that is much concerned about the rules and regulations governing the regulatory affairs scenario is the pharmaceutical industry. The world of regulatory affairs teems with numerous rules and clauses governing each and every aspect of drug research and drug production.

The main reason as to why so much importance is given to the regulatory affairs sector is that it involves human life, which is so precious. All people working in the health care sector have to follow the numerous rules and legislations governing their careers.

A large number of legislations are already in place to regulate the research and development in new medical treatments. These legislations have been passed with a view to ensure a level playing field for all the companies and health care centers offering the various health care products and services.

The prime aspect that some of these legislations focus upon is in promoting drug research that will make new treatments completely free from side effects and other problems encountered by similar drugs in the past.

Drug development is a risky process. Certain companies have gone bust after pouring in millions of dollars into research on new drugs because they did not consider the procedures governing the regulatory affairs in the health care sector. If they would have taken advice from a Regulatory affairs (http://www.regulatoryworld.com) expert, on the finer aspects of speeding up the various processes involved to market the medicine by reducing the time from the lab to the market, they would not have gone bust.

The best option to avoid such situations is to network with likeminded people from the Regulatory affairs (http://www.regulatoryworld.com) sector. The ‘Regulatory World’ is one such way out for you. A network with hundreds of members drawn from the regulatory affairs sector, you will always stay updated on the newer developments in the regulatory affairs sector through this network.

I'll certainly keep that in mind next time I'm developing a major pharmaceutical product.

Well, any company that does business as if it lives in an anarchic no-man's-land where anything goes, richly deserves to become extinct...

Why spam here for your Regulatory Affairs personnel site?

Ach, why spam at all, I suppose is the real question. Lookit me, acting like spammers can make sense. :p

It's true, you know. This one time, all my stuff was totally unregulated, and I didn't know where anything was and it was really hard to keep my things under control. Then I applied a series of cellulose-fiber regulatory devices to my stuff and now I never have difficulty keeping track of my items. Hurray for regulation!

Would anyone mind if as an addendum to the "regulations" I proposed a "kill all lobbyists" bill?

It wouldn't end domestic policy-related spammers, but it'd make em nervous, and that's good enough for me.

Did i just say "domestic policy-related spammers"?!?!? What a world.

edit: I wouldn't have come in here, but Howyadoin seemed to think this thread was pretty good.

Best regulatory affairs thread ever.

You somehow missed my comparison of GAO publication services versus the private reporting functions of the BNA and CCH companies?

It was on the front page for months.

Less. I set up the gag, I was just waiting for someone to knock it over. Otherwise, I'd have done the whole thing myself.

"How can I say 'GO JOE!' with any conviction, if I don't know if you guys are gonna be with me, it's getting embarassing... sometimes, I feel like Destro just gets more team spirit from his soldiers, am I doing a bad job? Maybe we could do something like Cobra Comm-asual Fridays? I just don't know if I have what it takes to lead anymore..."
