What if Superman grew up in the wilds of Africa? Unsupervised, and basically living amoungst the animals and plants.

He develops Tarzan-like mentality first.

Then he meets Lois Lane.

Superman becomes Defender of Truth, Justice and the American Way just like every other Elseworlds story.

I think I have an issue of Superboy where he is raised by gorillas.

He goes to Metropolis, and of course, completely misunderstands city life and starts attacking a bulldozer, at which point people start calling him savage.

He swears never to return to the city again, because he doesn't understand them.

That was pretty much the gist of it. Fun read, a strong Elseworlds title, and OUTSTANDING art by Carlos Meglia. I found Superman/Tarzan in the dollar bins at my local trade show, having only read Superman: Infinite City a week prior, and immediately grabbed it. His art is vibrant in a way that makes it seem animated; reading the book gave me the same visual impression as watching Titan A.E.

You found Carlos Meglia an outstanding artist ?! Boy , i couldn't stand his art and anything drawn by him , i avoid like the plague but i suppose art is subjective.
