New to YABS

So after being a member of these boards for a few months and primarily joining a couple of months after my return to the world of comics, I finally figured out what this YABS business is about.

I'd like to give a shout out to Gail Simone for being an active member of these boards. It's an honor to be part of a comic community that has a famous and distinguished writer as a member of the boards who also happens to have a snazzy avatar.

I'd also like to say HELLO the the fellow YABSers out there. I know that CBR is full of a group of people who have known each other for years, grown a strong community, and really love the comics medium. I'd really like to get to know you more and join in on this crazy side of the board so HELLO!

I think I've seen your posts when I have lurked in the Marvel message boards (though I don't go there often, I don't read much Marvel).

YABS is a swell place. There's very little moderation. At worst you'll be asked to stop. At worst, you'll be asked to leave. Very rarely will your posts be edited. We had one moron whose post was edited because apparently, he and his "friend" thought terrorism in the form of a mail bomb was hilarious!


Oh yeah, because fear, the loss of human life, civil liberties and the grief you feel over losing your loved ones is hilarious! HA-HA! (sarcasm off).


The place is really free flowing. You can talk about anything in any thread. From theology, ethics, to, our favourite topic: Lesbians and boobies!

I think you'll fit in well. Just remember, lesbians and boobies rule. And so does Kristen Bell .

And Gail Simone is a goddess. Speaking of which, I recommend making that virgin sacrifice to her soon. She gets pissy if the quota isn't fulfilled.
