When does Yellow take place in in Bendis' run?

Now, I never read it, but I think it takes place during Daredevil Volume 1 between issues #1-6. It has nothing to do with Bendis' run.

I could be wrong...

No, Smith's. So probably some unnamed time after Smith's, but before Bendis did the ID thing.

I miss Daredevil's original costume because it was so garish that you could tell DD was blind.
