Short Summery: This rocked! What a mini series! Action, exceitment, betrayal, double cross, A.I.M, and some kick ass 2nd stringers!

Longer Summery: Rocket Racer speeds towards SHIELD with the Hypernova but is taken down by the AIM Chemelon bot. The Hypernova turns out to be a soild light hologram though!

Meanwhile Puma and co face off against one handed Manardin jr. Nighshade has grabbed the rings off the severed hand and the two throw it down for a bit before AIM Bot turns up and starts kicking the s***t out of them. Living laser notes that the Bot is being controlled from a satalite so using some bits of the Mandarin's ship they block the signal revealing the Bots true from.

Armadillo then rolls in and crushes the bot. Laser has got hold of the Hypernova and opens it then vanishes. Puma, Armadillo and Nighshade use the flash to cover their escape.

Back to NYC- the team reports to MODOK that they don't have the Hypernova but he via one of Spot's wormholes has! He allowed them to follow the trail to root out the traitors. Hes also emailed AIM to tell them where he is and at that moment an AIM bot (looks like a Deaths Head model 3) bursts in.

AIM have come to deal and give MODOK ONE BILLION DOLLARS for the Hypernova then leave. MODOK pays off his three loyal minions with a bonus for the vanished members and Puma, Armadillo and Nightshade are suddenly millionaires!

MODOK then enacts his revenge on AIM.... but that bit I wont reveal cos its cool and creepy at the same time!

Comments:

More like this please Marvel! This had everything I enjoy in comics- action, adventure, mystery, intrequie, and cool characters.

People please go and but the comics or the Trade! Get others to getthem too, this comics is classic.

Can we please have Nightshde, Armadillo and Puma as their own team? Please? Pretty please?

I realy realy liked this issue. I loved the whole series, but I think I had more fun reading this issue then reading any other that I got this week. The Last few pages are PRICELESS. I loved the Usual Suspects style intercutting they did between MODOK's big board and Monica Rappochi's face back at AIM. Brilliant. Pure Brilliance. Give that Man another miniseries! MODOK's 12 Baby!

Aww, I haven't read it yet, but I'm sad that this will be the last issue of this awesome mini-series. :(

I demand more Super-Villain Team-Ups written by Van Lente!

I've more or less enjoyed this series, but this issue fell a little flat to me. There was just too much to wrap up, I think, and it wasn't wrapped up quite sufficiently for my tastes. (Don't get me wrong, I think leaving some loose ends for a possible followup of some kind is good, just some questions that were raised didn't get really answered well).

For one thing- if that wasn't really the Hypernova, then what happened to the Living Laser at the end?

The S.H.I.E.L.D. reveal/betrayal of Rocket Racer was a little too glossed over for my tastes, considering it was the big "shocker" moment of the previous issue. If it hadn't been built up by #4's climax into a huge deal, then I wouldn't be as disappointed, and would just take it as another double-dealing moment of the series.

I'm still not sure what all that MODOK-clone stuff was with the Infinicide. They were introduced then destroyed with no explanation last issue (or was it in #3- I forget).

Just a couple of little things like that bothered me, but for the most part I did enjoy this series and would love to see some kind of followup.

Lucky that it was an explosion, becuase we know you ain't dead until you've seen the body, right?

Monica is too amusing to kill off like that.

Plus she's a villain, and that generally comes with at least one "Get Out of Jail/Death Free" card. :)

(Two, if you count the fact that she's got a child who is a known superhero.)

This series was great fun!

The plot twist kept you guessing while the personalities kept you interested.

I must give kudos to the colorist. GURU FX really compliments Portelas' art.

I love the page printed above.

Really enjoyable!

Excelsior!

I iked the series but whatever happened to Spot or the Laser at the end? I mean I guess we assume that Mentallo was actually killed by Chameleon/Adaptoid. Anyway great ending

Yeah, this mini was great. Tightly paced, well composed. Full of thrills, excitement, humour and sharp dialogue. In its own little non-crossover, non-sprawling corner of the MU this little gem sparkled all by itself. I echo the comments on the great colour as well.

Does anyone know if a follow-up is planned? The way it ended with Modok definitely seems like more is around the corner.

Should be a full on series - MODOK assembling a new team of C and D listers every story arc for some new job. It would rock.

Did anyone catch at the end how MODOK screwed his remaining minions out of 9 million dollars?

This was a great series. I liked how it was about revenge, but I lost track of that due to the double-crosses and the heist.

Van Lente even does lesser characters a lot better than Dan Slott. That's is not a rip on Slott.

how'd the title sell numbers wise? well enough for a follow-up story?

SUPER VILLAIN TEAM UP MODOKS 11 #1 (Of 5) 22,612
SUPER VILLAIN TEAM UP MODOKS 11 #2 (Of 5) 17,355
SUPER VILLAIN TEAM UP MODOKS 11 #3 (Of 5) 14,819

I don't think there will be a sequel with these numbers

No, the sequel needs to be Kill MODOK, starring Monica.

Oh, now that's brilliant! Monica awakens from a coma and finds she's been kept in a secure SHIELD facility. She breaks out, and travels the world assembling the weaponry she needs to Kill MODOK. Along the way, she meets and defeats a number of MODOK's former goons. This would be a great way to utilise some of the AIM agents/mercs who've been languishing in comic limbo. How about Monica vs. Batroc the Leaper? Monica vs. the Serpent Society?

Holy crap yes.

Please make that! I'd buy ten copies!
