Having re-read the first season by Dan Slott, I thought it was a really great ride with a mix of humor, action, drama, and of course the fourth wall breaking which is kind of a staple for the book. I'm glad that Dan was able to do the second season and was able to run with it for so long thanks to the success of the first 12 issues.

Now here's a questionnaire for the people that have read it:

1) What were your favorite issues?

2) How did you find out about the book?

3) Artist of preference, Juan Bobillo or Paul Pelletier?

4) Most "WTF?" issue?

5) What's your overall opinion of the first season?

Looking forward to your responses!

Just to start if off:

1) What were your favorite issues?

Most of the issues with the Juan Bobillo art but my absolute favorites were the one with Spider-Man guest starring and wanting to sue Jonah Jameson and the other one is the "Cosmic Boxing Match with the Champion".

2) How did you find out about the book?

I actually found out about it here. I wasn't going to pick it up initially because there was an unknown factor there regarding the creators. I also was hesitant because I was worried that the title would be a shallow book about She-Hulk and exploitation of her character.

Thankfully that was not the case at all.

3) Artist of preference, Juan Bobillo or Paul Pelletier?

I gotta say Juan Bobillo's ultra quirky art really did it for me. Thing, Gladiator, Spider-Man, Beta Ray Bill, Adam Warlock......they all looked really different from what we're used to and yet it looked so good. I actually prefer Juan to Paul and Rick Burchett who came closest to Juan's style but it never quite got to the point in where I really loved it. I really missed him on the title and it sucked to see him go in the 2nd season as well, same goes for the colorist Chris Chuckry who had a really fantatic textured palette of colors.

Now I'm not trying to discredit Paul here either, he did a really good job with the book as well and retained all the defining characteristics of the characters as best he could with what Juan Bobillo laid out but still with his own style. The only thing I didn't like about his art is that compared to Juan's it's not as unique looking and veers into a sort of generic territory but he definitely made Dan's scripts work. Check out his GLA mini series also with Dan for further proof.

My favorite issues of his were the Ant-Hill jail breakout issues with the mini villains and the Secret Wars retelling of Titania and Volcana.

4) Most "WTF?" issue?

Definitely issue #2 with the ghost setting up his own death. I can't tell you how many read throughs it took me to figure out that he had an accomplice and wanted to frame his girlfriend in order to live with her in the afterlife.

5) What's your overall opinion of the first season?

Great fun and very quirky (there's that word again). It really was a different title from all the other books at the time and it was really different from my expectations. Dan knew how to put in various continuity bits and inject the 4th wall stuff with double meanings and the Stu Cicero character and the comic book fans/store.

Also lots of supporting characters especially of note Awesome Andy and Southpaw who sports a huge glove not too far off from Gauntlet's who's in the Initiative title at the moment. I can understand why people would hate the book and it's very quirky tone and art after the John Byrne stuff both in her past title and in the FF but you just have to be open to this kind of stuff.

Every time I read the book it gets better with every read through so thanks to Dan Slott, Juan Bobillo, Paul Pelletier, Chris Chuckry and Dan Kemp for such fun work.
