Of the 4 now, they all have excellent layout and radically different styles that offer a good visual flair for storytelling. I really liked Caio Oliveira's pages the most. They were the only ones that really made sense to me going from panel to panel. The splash page at the end didn't quite work though. It seems like there were way too many heroes on the page, and they just sort of melded into each other.

Despite some issues with his page four, I thought Charles did the best job this round. The first three pages were solid, flowed well, and didn't have excessive panels, which highlighted his storytelling strengths. I liked his environment, robots, kid, and style for the story. The kid looked like a kid (and a cool alien) and there was a tangible threat of death, not just a looming robot. Like that it was a high fall for the kid, and I sensed an implied calming via telepathy from Saturn Girl in page three. Amazing that in some parts I thought his work was akin to Barry Kitson and Bryan Hitch, which is a compliment from me.

agreeing on this for sure. wilson is definitely the most solid storyteller.. i never have any trouble following his storytelling.. and one might knitpick on stuff like anatomy and the hand of supergirl and what angle to pull in what section, but the overall feeling of flow should be superior to all that.

and in my book he´s the most consistent one on that part.. in ADDITION to sickly tight pencils which make me want tear out all the red hair from my sad norwegian comicker skull..

you deserve to win charles! and you got my vote for sure!

I had to go with Dan this round. There's just something about his style that clicks with me.

I'll be honest, Reed was a close second. To me, he was the only one that captured the page 4 splash the best--everyone seems ready to leap into action. The other page 4s were more pin-ups than pages.

But Dan's overall style and layout worked the best for me...and there were no bad entries in this round.

I'm not very fond of McDaniel's art these days, but I really liked his work around that time - Daredevil, Green Goblin, that Daredevil/Batman special...As long as we're mentioning awful 90's screw-ups, let's not forget kife-wielding Dr. Fate, Artemis-Wonder Woman, Fantastic Force and stripper Sue Richards.;)

And Rockie, I think Angel Punisher is, ironically, beyond salvation.:p

I doubt the TMNT creators are spitting on the cash they made off cartoons, the movie, toys, all bought for or by and marketed to children. Only in comics could a concept like that be geared towards a 21 year old+ crowd of grown men.

That's interesting, I've actually been thinking of CPWIII and Caio's styles as the most mainstream and least individual of the final 6. I was hoping to see more diverse styles actually.
