Just what would have occured if the Hulk took Korg's advice and quited the war earlier that it was originally told ? :(

Then we would get a boring comic book that would merit only 2 pages of discussion instead of thousands.
Really.

All the superhero's would have looked like idiots for while then they would've rebuilt NYC and gone on with their lives

Had he just beaten them up and then gone?
Hulk would have looked a bit more heroic, he wouldn't be despised QUITE as much by the regularly people, many of the heroes would probably question how wrong he was, the Illuminati would be uncertain as to whether or not they really were right, the Warbound would have been more faithful to Hulk... quite a lot.
Of course, it wouldn't change many things he did, but it might make him a bit more easy to forgive without the whole "arenas of death" business.

Korg would have gotten the Nobel Peace Prize from Mother Theresa.
Hulk would be in Hawaii...and the insects would be making many more babies.

I don't think anybody fully appreciated the Hulks peeve, and that's why Korgs suggestion was not taken seriously. There would be no Hawaii, or insect babies, until the Hulk thrust Sakaar brutality into the Illuminati. There would have been no point in walking away before the arena, since they came all that way across the universe. A point had to be made. It's just like professional Basketball - Two teams coming back to the Gardens for some payback.
Korg had softened his stance towards the humans after the Arch-E investigation found Korg was partly responsible for the machines destruction, by some circuitous logic that Korg was too pedantic. Had Korg recognised that being too pedantic can lead to injustice?

I think it's more that for some freaky, unfathomable reason, Korg believed forcing people to beat each other to death for your personal satisfaction before their families was in some way "ethically unsound".

The Warbound had no such ethical dilemas going after the Illuminati at the start of WWH Prelude. I think something changed while they were on earth, and worrying about 'human' ethics wasn't one of their earlier considerations.

The way Korg talks about it, I don't think he ever expected Hulk to go this far, just beat the crap out of them and leave. Hell, even killing them outright would be far kinder. Hiroim, now, I think he *did* expect Hulk to go this far, and knows it's wrong (as he has said) but is prepared to do it anyway.

There is that 'loss of control' element in the Hulk at this moment. While Caeira was around, the Hulk had this fine compassionate streak in him, but now that he lost her, maybe Hulk has gone back to the monster.
