Im thinking of changing my name to Peter Parker by deed-poll, marrying a red head, getting her to change her name to Mary-Jane, and then using Marvel comics as toilet paper for the rest of our lives in protest. How are you planning to totally over-react to the One More Day story line?

Just stop buying the titles, that is all.

I personally would have been happier if they had just killed MJ off, or have her turn out to be a Skrull. This massive retcon is over kill, it is the retcon not the marriage ending that I'm pissed off about.

Oh, since I've only read half of the story I already know how it's going to end. Because I'm from the internet and whatever I type must be true.

If Marvel even thinks of . . . .RUINING Spider-Man for me and. . .RAPING my childhood. . .well let's just say Joey Q is to expect a big poopie in my diaper and I'll be in his office, waiting to share it with him.

I might throw a tantrum and kick the walls.

I've been selling 40 years worth of Spidey comics Even though 20 years of them will still count. Apparently gave away these for a song...

I'm starting a letter-writing campaign that Peter and Mary-Jane divorce in Spider-Girl and that we learn the Peter isn't really her dad cause it's too confusing that he's nnot married in one book but married in another.

Well maybe the delay is a good thing. Maybe they finally came to there senses at Marvel and started anew. May dies, peter and MJ cry a bit and then we get cool classic villains in the next few months rather then crappy villains that will be gone in a few months and then reduced to having their backup stories changed just to make them somewhat interesting, ala Black Tarantula...... One can dream can't they?

According to the thread title, it's simply about how we're over-reacting to OMD.

People looking forward to it have a right to over-react to it, too!

Correct, this thread is dedicated to any over-reaction to a story-line that isnt finished yet, positive or negative.

I plan on moving to the woods then writing a 500 page Manifesto about how evil Joe Q is and how he has to be stop before he destroys the marvel universe. After years of writing my Manifesto I emerge from my seclusion to discover that not only is OMD over, but Joe Q is no longer with Marvel and I have wasted the last 10 years of my life. Heartbroken I return to the woods to write another Manifesto about how I wasted my life.

To complain and bitch about it and claim I will drop this title like a piece of red hot coal, but in all reality probably at least give BND a try and perhaps one day OMD will be forgotten in what is, hopefully, good stories in the future.

About me selling off my collection. Truthfully, its not about OMD. I just thought it was time to sell. These things have been stored in a bunch of long boxes in an inaccessable area under the stairs, so they weren't doing anyone any good where they were. I bought the collection on DVD-Rom, so I can still revisit those old stories whenever I want.

Still haven't decided if I'm getting rid of ASM 121 and 122 though. Those two have always been my favorites.

I've always felt Joe Q.'s opinion on the marriage was silly. Honestly, 90'sCartoonMan, you can go on to have equally as interesting adventures while married as well as engaging scenarios related to being married, much as Peter Parker could have, if Marvel weren't so lazy.

After 20 years of being married, though, I'm all for character development, but OMD is a sloppy, lazy way to go about effecting the changes Marvel editorial is fishing for. It's keeping with the last couple years of thoroughly mediocre Spider-Man stories.

I personally have always been in favor of resurrecting Ben Reilly and having him in a book of "classic" Spider-Man stories (it'd be perfect. He'd even have a secret identity still!), while Peter Parker continues to explore crazy new frontiers.

As for my overreaction to OMD, I'm going to start wearing more Superman T-shirts...
