I know several of you guys read Spider-Girl, so I'm curious as to what you think the best Spider-Girl stories are.

I've started rereading the earlier issues for the first time in years.

I've really liked all the stories that have featured the Hobgoblin so far. I also love the recent Carnage story arc that ran from Amazing Spider-Girl #9-12. It was fantastic and felt like a really classic, modern tale.

I like all of them, but I have a specific fondness for the one where she goes back in time to meet her dad when he was a teenager;)

The capture of May by Normy Junior, and that resolution.

The claiming by Black Tarantula of May as his bride. They really have to push that wagon a lot more, and explore Mays interest in BT. I know it's dark and dangerous, but MAy has to confront things she's not comfortable with. (And Mays father would not agree, so there would be some fuiding that comes from that).

I kind of liked the two-part story when Mayday was back in the past and she meet her father as Spider-man and a younger Human torch. :D

I liked that one too. It was cool. I also love the hobgoblin arcs and the symbiote arcs. Haven't read carnages one yet though.

I get what your trying to say but isn't this statement a little contradictory of itself?

This one got mentioned a few times, and the first part's one of the two issues from the first 60 issues that I'm missing. :(
Eh, I'll find it someday.

I did like how Tom Defalco set it up in the fourth issue, with Human Torch seeing May and thinking "It almost looks like...Nah, it couldn't be. It was too long ago."

The Faces storyline really showed that May is her father's daughter when it comes to guilt trips.

And the Black suit Mayday arc featuring the Black Tarantula is also awsome.

I also hope they bring back Fury the Goblin Queen. That is one crazy lady.

No, not really. I don't know why you feel like that. Pretty much all the Spider-Girl stories remind me of the old Stan Lee stories, but in modern way and it is my opinion.

I'm with you on this. The whole series feel like an ol' Stan tale from way back.....just newer in taste.

Normie as Venom is also one of my favorites. Although, I should tell you. He goes by Dusk.

Bumped this up after a conversation with Mets.

Favourate arcs include Mayday ending the Osborn/Parker war with Normie, establishing the eventual "gang" she eventually forms with him.

The Lee/Ditko era crossover (taking place during the first apperance of Spencer Smythe), Peter's first return to the Spider-Man mantle (which I had to be reminded of courtesy of the digests), helping Darkdevil against Kaine.

Mayday forming her own "gang" of heroesm, and the issue told from a departing student's POV who loved May from a distance, Mayday reading his letter (which had been told to us throughout the issue) only at the conclusion. Loved the Ben Reily tribute issue and Yama nearly killing Moose with a lucky blow and the fight being made out to look like a bloodbath to Mayday later.

Mayday's war with the Sciriers and Kingsley just as Benjy was born, with the Venom symbiote surfacing to seize control of Normie

One big waste was the "'Nuff Said" issue with Crazy Eight's autopsy. Not a story I would pick for that dopey marketing strategy, but then "'Nuff Said" WAS dopey

Oddly enough Spider-Girl #40 and #41 are two of my favorite issues. I thought the Crazy Eight death was well done.

The return of the Hobgoblin was what got me reading this book, so I'm definitely going to go with that story arc as my fave. The art homages to Stern's ASM run that introduced Hobby had me totally geeking out. The Black Tarantula and Venom symbiote stories were great, too.

The first arc, the Hobgoblin's first appearance in the series, the Spider-Venom arc, and Normie becoming Venom. Didn't read the time skipping story sadly.
