Coming up this week in Pipeline:
* A special advance review for a hardcover coming out on Wednesday. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to or allowed to pre-announce it, so stay tuned. . .
* A look at PREVIEWS for January, since the odds of getting that podcast in this month are very slim. It's been too long since I wrote one of those up, anyway.
* A quick Halloween anecdote.

Let me guess, the Heroes HC that comes out this week. That or the Dark Tower that is finally reaching my store this week. If it's Heroes, I'll be interested to see you reaction, since I've already read the stories online.

I doubt it's the Heroes HC. Augie seemed reluctant to announce whatever it is and the Heroes HC has been announced before. Heck, it's been available to order on Amazon for a while. Still, we'll see... :)

I'd love for it to be the Queen & Country: Red Panda HC that I've been waiting for for a couple of months now.

Trip - That would be cool. It's not it, though. =)
The column tomorrow might be delayed a little bit to later in the afternoon. This time, it's completely MY fault. Life gets in the way sometimes.

Has Pipeline moved? I'm sure it always used to come out on the same day as LITG. I'm glad it doesn't now though. My bosses will notice if I read too many web pages in one day when I should be working.

Pipeline's regular slot is Tuesday. Sometimes it gets pushed to the afternoon on Tuesday, but it's always there on Tuesday.
Let me just mention it one more time, since I mentioned it twice too often in that last paragraph: That'd be Tuesday. =)
LITG is, theoretically, Mondays.

The obvious miss from your Halloween comments:
This year Marvel, Archie, and Gladstone published mini-comics designed to be given out for Halloween. There were about 20 in pack and were pretty cheap. More publishers should do this (Dark Horse has in the past) and we can keep Free Comic Book Day in the spring.
Besides, what's keeping you from hitting a bunch of shops on FCBD and then giving them out on Halloween?

I'm chomping at the bit to see how RED PANDA fits into the overall Q&C story arc seeing that it was referenced in the 2 novels.

About your review for the Dark Tower HC, it's weird that Marvel didn't choose to collect all of Robin Furth's regular issue back-up text pieces and the Gunslinger's handbook info. Those really did a great job of providing the ins and outs of Mid-World, from character backgrounds to world history. It would have been more informative than, say, the extras about the inking and coloring process. I think the background text pieces would have been a great addition for both Dark Tower fans new to comics and comics ans new to Dark Tower.
