Kekowa gulped. He looked her in her beautiful face and right in her big blue eyes, he picked up her hand

"I have never said this to anyone in my life. Natalie Shroeder, I love you. Truly not just a passing teenage thing. It burns deep in my heart and tells me you are the smartest, braveest, kindest, and most beautiful woman I will ever know. And nothing in all the heavens and the earth will ever change that for all time." A tear began to fall across Kekowa's cheek

Natalie sighed, stood up. The sun was rising, the air by the water started to warm again. Returning the favor Kekowa bestowed on her earlier, she removed his coat and draped it over his shoulders, then leaned forward and hugged him from behind to watch the darkness melt away.

"If that's true...then I'm sorry."

She held onto him, sighing deeply, hating every word that she had to speak, watching another friend shattered by desire.

Xellos began his transformation, combining the warmth of fire, the solidity of ice and his own bodily mana.

His whitish blonde hair grew longer, covering most of his neck. The same hair began growing from his skin at an accelerated rate.

Joints formed where there were none, limbs lengthening and body enlarging. A tail formed near the base of his spine, sending unfamiliar tickling sensations along his rump as he fell forwards.

His preparation complete, he waited for Natalie to emerge from the pier.

Natalie breathed softly, then pulled away from Kekowa, patting his shoulder.

"When you meet the girl for you, don't shrink away, or hesitate to show her your heart, Kekowa," she said with a stammer and a smile,"you'll make somebody very happy someday."

She then turned and went off to find Xellos. It was dawn, and she lazily strode off along the road looking about for him. Climbing to the top of a small grassy hill, she lay back and looked into the big blue cloudless sky.

"Garthin allowed us to gain access to the vaults in the capital of Old Nevada, that's where I got my spear," Kagura gestured at it. " and an artifact that allowed time travel. But when we got out of them, we saw Garthin die."

She paused, "Then we came across Yamada, [Ramon] and Mourn-sensei fighting a homunculus like that Sasami girl, Mourn-sensei created a portal where we ended up in Ancient Greece and fought the Mother of all Demons, saving the Amazons."

"Then we came back here," she finished.

Xing blinked, as the light of the portal enveloped him, blinding him temporarily before returning his vision to him. Afraid that his eyes were deceiving him, Xing, almost as if he were an animal in an unfamiliar enviroment leant to the ground and pressed his hand against solid ground. Without a doubt he was once again back in his proper time and from the looks of it, so were the others.

And yet, Xing wondered if what he'd been through moments ago was not a dream in itself. It all seemed so impossible. Losing his chi, meeting a goddess, and---

Xing shut his eyes as he remembered what he'd lost in the journey. Though he'd shared a silent promise with his brother not to mourn his loss, Xing was certainly not one immune to emotions. Gripping his hands tightly, Xing whispered a silent thank you to his brother, hoping that if the Gods were kind, they'd send his final message to his brother.

Xing looked at Dean and Ilias, wondering why the two seemed so agitated. Of course, it was prehaps the battle lust which so abruptedly ended that put them in what Xing preceived to be a foul mood. Deciding it'd be safer not to generalize though, Xing walked to Dean and Ilias and bowed to the both of them, "Dean, Ilias, I am glad that the both of you are safe."

How dare you ignore Xing's offer to sex you up! Heartless pig!

A white shape appeared in the sky. At first, it may have seemed like the sky had a cloud after all. However, it moved too fast, in ways a cloud never could.

As Xellos came into focus, he swooped over Natalie once before landing, sending a gust of wind that blew her hat off.

Hooves light on the soil, he trotted towards her and spoke, his voice a bit deeper than normal,

"The spot is a bit far off, but the journey isn't long by flight. Would you care to climb on?"

OOC: Natalie left her hat in Amazonia. She's still dressed as Sophitia.

Natalie sat up and stared dumbfounded.

"Sonderbar...since when did temperature magic cover advance transmutation?"

She walked up to Xellos, seeing his shape frozen in an ice construct. It was as if the boy was trapped in a giant crystal horse.

"...ja, are you sure? I don't want to break anything," she said with a chuckle.

Actually, Xellos is practically invisible inside it. He's got 21 magic and recently got, so I figure a little non-combat transmutation can be lumped with high level basic magic.:)

He knelt and furled his wings to give her easier access to climb on,

"I'm going to my room and get some sleep." Tamiko smiled, "I'll see you later." she then headed towards her room for some well deserved sleep.

Making it to her room, she climbed into bed and quickly fell asleep. Tamiko then found herself on an open field covered in snow, as she looked up ahead she saw a man. The one from her visions? Or was it Solarius? Or both? She wanted to leave, but found herself unable to move.

"Who are you?" she cried out.

The man chuckled, "My dear, you know who I am."

"What do you want? Why did you bring me here?" wrapping her arms around herself for warmth as the cold bit into her flesh.

"You desire to become a strong and powerful witch, like your great-grandmother. Is that not true?" The man stopped walking forward, his face still covered by his hooded cloak.

Tamiko just stared at him, unable to answer.

The man laughed again, "I can give you the power you desire. It would be easy for me to teach you arcane and mystic arts that would make the great Jericho Mourn shake in fear. You would never be hurt again, not by anyone."

Tamiko still, could not answer him back, she just stared at him,thinking on his words.

"You need time to think. Very well, we will speak again my dear." The man vanished, and Tamiko woke up suddenly, still feeling the chill running through her.

Perhaps it was the time spent in Amazonia that influenced her, for she raised an arm and let out a triumphant shriek of elated joy as the wind blew through her hair, laughing all the way.

Dean turned his head around, finally noticing Xing. He had been far to preoccupied cleaning the blood from his hands, and cursing his foul luck, to be aware of anyone else.

He wasnt in the mood for games, or greetings, or anything other than creating carnage upon the bodies of his enemies.Unfortunately, his desires had been denied, making an already unhappy Dean Gatlain, border perilously close to being downright unplesant.

Something about seeing someone you considered a friend, not to mention a personal hero, sliced into bite sized pieces, while you had a debate over the principles of Time Paradoxes, could do that to you.

Still, he was never one to give himself over to anger, atleast not completely. And his bloodshed therapy, although massively incomplete, had made him feel a bit better. A bit.

"Yeah. You too." He responded to Xing, more gruffly then intended.

Ilias looked over at Dean, slightly concerned. It didnt take a genius to figure out what was troubling him. Still, he wasnt going to attempt to play therapist while Dean showed such an unhappy disposition.

Besides, the best he could manage to do, was tell Dean to get over it, and hit him with a spoon. Something he didnt think Dean would appriciate very much. Ilias decided he would have to leave such things to more skilled people, like Xing or Kagura.

Not to mention, Ilias was far to preturbed about finally unsealing Tenro's power, only to have all his enemies dissapear, to tend to the concerns of others.

He considered the possibility that, Tenro's power, infact, was the ability to magically kill of all his enemies, just by drawing it from his sheate.

It was no more impossible than Dean willingly getting married, afterall. Still, he found it rather unlikely. He'd just have to wait until next time, to put Tenro to the test.

Ilias didnt like waiting very much. However. He let out a slightly annoyed sigh.

Turning his attention back to Xing, he returned his greetings. "Likewise, Xing. Dont mind Dean, He's just a tad bit tired."

Dean muttered something about not being tired enough about introducing Ilias's ass, to his foot.

Ilias smirked.

"Sooooo.....what do we do now boss?" Jason asked as he sat on the edge of a broken chunk of cement. "I think we ran ouf of those monsters to play with" he said as a bored yawn escaped his mouth. His then turned lazily towards Wilks, who sitting against a busted cement wal with his arms behind his head. "What do you think, eh?"

Wilk's just opened his eyes as he gave a lazy glare towards Jason. "Hell if I know?" he said as he closed his eyes. "Wake me up any more shows up...or if you have anything to drink" he said as he went off to sleep.

Matsumoto was sitting idian style, meditating as his sword layed right next to him.

Willy.....well WIlly had vanished from site after the battle concluded....looking to see if he could find anything to whet his shistle.

Robert stood on top of a half broken pillar, looking to see if anyting was still moving. "Guess we got them all" he said to himself.

Kelly looked up into the night sky as if he was searching for somthing among them. "I fear that it will only get worse from now on" he said as he turned towards his fellow swordsmen. "What we have just seen is just the calm before the strom...." he said in an ominious tone. "Hell is comming for the students.....and for everyone associated with them"

They lay down, eating, talking and laughing for many hours. They enjoyed the view, smiling into the fresh breeze as their worries melted into the sunlight.

Their bond, having grown steadily and surely stronger ever since they first met, blossomed now, a warm inner glow seeming to radiate to each other. Xellos had restrained himself at every turn, but each time his heart treasured her ever more.

There was no doubt about it now. He loved her.

He would use the bodies to help her garden (The one he made for her, by toturing a gardener, until he did it) Bloom.

He would slay all kinds of mythical beasts in her name, bringing her back all manners of magical treasures.

The first link talks about a 2 storey house, but it's being raised so I'll use it as a rough estimate.

Lets say we're talking a 300 square foot cottage, with 70 pounds per square foot. 70 pounds is approximately 31.8kg.

300 x 27.2kg = 9540kg = 9.54tons

Dean can lift 14 tons, so he should be able to uproot and throw most cottages if the foundations aren't too deep.

Dean turned his head around, finally noticing Xing. He had been far to preoccupied cleaning the blood from his hands, and cursing his foul luck, to notice.

He wasnt in the mood for games, or greetings, or anything other than creating carnage upon the bodies of his enemies.Unfortunately, his desires had been denied, making an already unhappy Dean Gatlain, border perilously close to being downright unplesant.

Something about seeing someone you considered a friend, not to mention a personal hero, sliced into bite sized pieces, while you had a debate over the principles of Time Paradoxes, could do that to you.

Still, he was never one to give himself over to anger, atleast not completely. And his bloodshed therapy, although massively incomplete, had made him feel a bit better. A bit.

"Yeah. You too." He responded to Xing, more gruffly then intended.

Ilias looked over at Dean, slightly concerned. It didnt take a genius to figure out what was troubling him. Still, he wasnt going to attempt to play therapist while Dean showed such an unhappy disposition.

Besides, the best he could manage to do, was tell Dean to get over it. Something he didnt think he would appriciate very much. Ilias decided he would have to leave such things to more skilled people, like Xing or Kagura.

Not to mention, Ilias was far to preturbed about finally unsealing Tenro's power, only to have all his enemies dissapear, to tend to the concerns of others.

He considered the possibility that, Tenro's power, infact, was the ability to magically kill of all his enemies, just by drawing it from his sheate.

It was no more impossible than Dean willingly getting married, afterall. Still, he found it rather unlikely. He'd just have to wait until next time, to put Tenro to the test.

Ilias didnt like waiting very much. However. He let out a slightly annoyed sigh.

Turning his attention back to Xing, he returned his greetings. "Likewise, Xing. Dont mind Dean, He's just a tad bit tired."

Dean muttered something about not being tired enough about introducing Ilias's ass, to his foot.

Ilias smirked.

Xing was a little taken aback at the annoyance in Dean's voice. Despite what Ilias said, Xing doubted that a lack of sleep was the only thing that gave birth to the harshness in Dean's voice.

He felt something nagging at him at the back of his mind, an isolated curiosity that wanted to know what was troubling the Old Nevadian. Something else in his psyche stopped him though, flashing images of the manner in which Dean fought before.

It was very unlike the sparring match they had before. To Xing, it was like Dean was completely different. To be sure, the style was similar, but something was.... off. There appeared to be a high degree of aggression surrounding Dean at the time. It was as if Dean was out to prove something. Spending more time in making a scene of himself rather than simply doing away with the enemy.

Even Xing was not so dense as to not realize that for whatever reason, the journey throuh time was the cause of Dean's bad mood. Xing made a mental note to be careful about what he chose to say in front of Dean. Which really wasn't that much help because he didn't know what Dean was annoyed about in the first place.

"I see.... So, what happened to the both of you when Solarius sent you back in time?"

Xing then felt like smacking himself in the forehead when he thought about what he'd just asked. Urgh, stupid, stupid. That's only going to make him recall whatever he'd been through

Clenching his teeth, Xing forced his mind to wonder, in the hopes of filtering out whatever response Dean might offer as a result from his question. However, Xing's mind suddenly struck a sordid thought, one which Xing knew that he'd have to tell Dean, and everyone else, sooner or later.

The subject of his limited lifespan..... His brother's sacrifice may have granted Xing a temporary reprieve, but it was still there, sitting in the corner. Like a spider waiting for the right moment before it pounced on its prey and sucked it dry. Still, Xing was not about to risk telling Dean about it now. Not immediately anyway. Still, the sooner done, the better. He'd just have to see how he could eventually fit it in.

Making it to her room, she climbed into bed and quickly fell asleep. Tamiko then found herself on an open field covered in snow, as she looked up ahead she saw a man. The one from her visions? Or was it Solarius? Or both? She wanted to leave, but found herself unable to move.

"Who are you?" she cried out.

The man chuckled, "My dear, you know who I am."

"What do you want? Why did you bring me here?" wrapping her arms around herself for warmth as the cold bit into her flesh.

"You desire to become a strong and powerful witch, like your great-grandmother. Is that not true?" The man stopped walking forward, his face still covered by his hooded cloak.

Tamiko just stared at him, unable to answer.

The man laughed again, "I can give you the power you desire. It would be easy for me to teach you arcane and mystic arts that would make the great Jericho Mourn shake in fear. You would never be hurt again, not by anyone."

Tamiko still, could not answer him back, she just stared at him,thinking on his words.

"You need time to think. Very well, we will speak again my dear." The man vanished, and Tamiko woke up suddenly, still feeling the chill running through her.

Getting out of bed and putting a warm shirt and pants on, Tamiko made her way to the kitchen. She needed something warm to drink, some tea, maybe a cup of hot cocoa, even soup would work.

Analysis has been conducted and the results are henceforth displayed:

Natalie's suitors have used several general strategies to try and woo her.

1. Glomping

Relying on excessive physical contact to convey emotion. Pioneered by Daichi, who abandoned it after the confrontation with Xellos, in which he was convinced his advances weren't working. Used most extensively by Selma, who, when not crying, hugs, kisses, strokes hair and otherwise performs physical bonding while copping a feel.

2.Corny Dialogue.

Saying cheesy or bombastic lines to woo the victi...the target. Used most often by Kekowa, though Daichi has used it before. Admittedly, sometimes much effort must be exerted in order to avoid involuntarily using this tactic. I am sure I have let Xellos slip into it on occasion, to my dismay.

3. Knight in Shining Armor

Used by virtually every suitor at some point. The objective is to gain the favour of the maiden by whisking her out of danger. It is much romanticised, and of course generates much gratitude. I admittedly overused it a tad at the beginning. While it shows how much the suitor cares for Natalie, it has also unfortunately given her a bit of an inferiority complex.

It should be pointed out that it is partially GGs' own fault for allowing so many suitors in the first place, leading to excessive rescuing and slight deficiencies in the necessary situations to make her 'come of age', which is the gist of Natalie's goal for coming to Arcadia.

4. Pity

Ends up being used whenever the suitor goes through emotional problems in the presence of Natalie. Everyone has used it at some point by now, though Selma has a reputation as a flagrant exploiter of this.

5. Conventional

The 'highschool' approach. Asking Natalie out on a date, being nice and straightforward and typical teenage tendencies fall under this category. Sirus's base strategy, though used to some degree by Xellos and slightly by Daichi.

6. The Slow Blade Penetrates the Shield

A hard strategy to see through. Forms bonds of trust and close friendship, with seeds of something more being smuggled in and nurtured till they hopefully bloom into romance and love.

Selma originally resolved to go with this after her initial fight with Natalie. However, it quickly morphed into a clear combination of the glomping and pity strategies. Xellos is so far its' most long standing practitioner, and thus, while romantic bonding has occured over the course of the game, he has not kissed Natalie once despite being co-leader with Selma in terms of overall interaction time with Natalie.

As of now, the status of the suitors are:

Daichi: Previously MIA. Now Deserter.
Kekowa: KIA
Sirus: MIA. High possibility of KIA.
Selma: Active
Xellos: Active

Khold apparently has some sub-plot going on with Sirus getting his memory erased. It seems obvious to me it's not just because Natalie rejected him. There remains a chance that he has a good reason, Natalie learns the full story and gives her heart to Sirus for caring so much. Of course, the likelihood of that chain of events occuring is slim, thus the high possibility of KIA.

The alternative is

Sirus: KIA. Slight chance of necromancy.

Hell, that's part of why I root for Selma: she and Nat actually have a lot of history. There's drama and pain and tears and mistakes and terrible odds and courage and a lot of other awesome stuff.

Natalie breathed softly, then pulled away from Kekowa, patting his shoulder.

She then turned and went off to find Xellos. It was dawn, and she lazily strode off along the road looking about for him. Climbing to the top of a small grassy hill, she lay back and looked into the big blue cloudless sky.

IC: Kekowa watched Natalie sink away into the light. Maybe someday she will share the feelings I share. I cannot lose hope. Still she is a good friend and I should not push, coherse, or force her. If she changes ehr mind it will be of her own accord.

He walked to the edge of the peir laying down and reaching underneath he pulled out his sword. He brought it with him just in case but hid it. He placed the weapon in his belt and walked off walking aimlessly to the hotel, lost in thought.

OOC: Flashback time! Dean Gatlain, and why he's afraid of marriage. I'll seperate it in parts to make me happy.:)

"Where the hell is he?!" Dean muttered, taking a sip of his coke. He had ordered, and eaten, several meals over the last few hours, and the bill had been laying on the table for something that seems like an eternity. Dean had read it once, and after the second zero, moved it away from his person as quickly as he could manage.

He had no money, and had to resort to the brilliant tactic of drinking his coke, very, very slowly, to stall for a time.

A tactic Dean feared the waiter was beginning to catch onto. He was terrified at the prospect of having to wash dishes for the whole night. He wasnt about to call his mommy to bail him out of a tough spot.

As Dean prepared for his soapy fate, something amazing happened. As if on cue, his mentor, his teacher, his friend, Adam Sopel descended from the sky (Or walked in from the front door, to be technical) like some kind of shining knight.

Who had just had the unholy hell beaten out of him. His long sleeved dress shirt, reduced to shreads, numerous tiny bed scratches covering his chest.

His glasses were missing one lens, the other one sporting a massive spiderlike crack, his biceps sported massive dark blue bruises. If one were too look beyond him, and towards his beautiful blue mustang....

They would notice how the word 'beautiful' seemed to be the exact opposite from what his car was at the moment.

Unless one happened to find broken windows, massive cracks in the windshield, slashed tires, missing side mirriors and massive key scratches, destroying a once beautiful sky blue paint job, beautiful.

He looked as if he fought the most epic battle this side of Ragnarok.

"Hey kid." He said, ploping into his seat with a sigh. "Sorry I'm late." without another word, or explination,he began to leaf through the menu, absently looking for something appealing.

"Hey, how's the cheeseburgers here?" He asked Dean, who simply looked at Adam in disbelief.

"That bad, eh?" Adam asked, still leafing through the menu. "What about the hot dogs?"

It took them an hour to return to the "Hotel Galaxy", but for some reason it felt less then that. All of them had little, to no visable damage from the battle. Kelly was the first to enter, followed by Jason, then Willy, then Wilks, then Matsumoto, and finally Robert, who had his arms tucked into his Gi.

"Do what you want, I'm retireing to my room" Kelly said as he went up stair.

The rest of them split up, going to various places in the hotel.

Hell, that's part of why I root for Selma: she and Nat actually have a lot of history. There's drama and pain and tears and mistakes and terrible odds and courage and a lot of other awesome stuff.

I mean, sure, she could pick Xellos. That would make about as much if not more sense, But what has he been doing? Taking the patient and careful approach, being generally charming and supportive and not too pushy, hoping to slowly but surely win her over.

Xellos smiled contentedly, laying out a red silk sheet over the grass for them to lie on,

"A rather recent development actually. Making organic ice as hard as possible is simple. Making it yield like flesh, and support fur, requires a very subtle touch. I worked on it for some time before I reached a standard fit to carry you on."

They lay down, eating, talking and laughing for many hours. They enjoyed the view, smiling into the fresh breeze as their worries melted into the sunlight.

Their bond, having grown steadily and surely stronger ever since they first met, blossomed now, a warm inner glow seeming to radiate to each other. Xellos had restrained himself at every turn, but each time his heart treasured her ever more.

There was no doubt about it now. He loved her.

The breeze and hard light of the early morning was a pleasant sight, so magnanimously beautiful that it very well hid that the four and a half cups of coffee in Natalie's system had worn off. At Xellos' comments, she giggled uncharacteristically, and much longer than necessary. Something about what he said, in which she found the funny staying beyond the point of the joke.

"Oh you...," she said through fits of laughter,"Ja! Das Uber-Kaiserin! The Empress and her steed!"

She pumped her fist in the air with an exaggerated frown, then broke out into laughter, falling over on her side. Her psychic empathy not quite working right now, she was still having a good time, just that her heart and mind were somewhere else entirely.

Stifling herself and wiping the tears from her eyes, she said, "This is good, I had no idea you knew how to cook so well."

"I mean, you can afford all the help you need, ja? I feel so spoiled."

"Can they handle it" he said as he swiped the card. The door clicked open, allowing him to enter.

Xing was a little taken aback at the annoyance in Dean's voice. Despite what Ilias said, Xing doubted that a lack of sleep was the only thing that gave birth to the harshness in Dean's voice.

He felt something nagging at him at the back of his mind, an isolated curiosity that wanted to know what was troubling the Old Nevadian. Something else in his psyche stopped him though, flashing images of the manner in which Dean fought before.

It was very unlike the sparring match they had before. To Xing, it was like Dean was completely different. To be sure, the style was similar, but something was.... off. There appeared to be a high degree of aggression surrounding Dean at the time. It was as if Dean was out to prove something. Spending more time in making a scene of himself rather than simply doing away with the enemy.

Even Xing was not so dense as to not realize that for whatever reason, the journey throuh time was the cause of Dean's bad mood. Xing made a mental note to be careful about what he chose to say in front of Dean. Which really wasn't that much help because he didn't know what Dean was annoyed about in the first place.

"I see.... So, what happened to the both of you when Solarius sent you back in time?"

Xing then felt like smacking himself in the forehead when he thought about what he'd just asked. Urgh, stupid, stupid. That's only going to make him recall whatever he'd been through

Clenching his teeth, Xing forced his mind to wonder, in the hopes of filtering out whatever response Dean might offer as a result from his question. However, Xing's mind suddenly struck a sordid thought, one which Xing knew that he'd have to tell Dean, and everyone else, sooner or later.

The subject of his limited lifespan..... His brother's sacrifice may have granted Xing a temporary reprieve, but it was still there, sitting in the corner. Like a spider waiting for the right moment before it pounced on its prey and sucked it dry. Still, Xing was not about to risk telling Dean about it now. Not immediately anyway. Still, the sooner done, the better. He'd just have to see how he could eventually fit it in.

Dean winced slightly upon hearing Xings question. There was nothing wrong with it, it was a perfectly innocent and valid thing to ask. Still, it wasnt something Dean was going to enjoy discussing, especially so soon.

Xing had at least succeeded on doing one thing. Blocking out whatever Dean's response to his question was. Unfortunately, now Xing was left with a dilemma just as, or perhaps, even more problematic than the aforementioned response itself.

Xing had a few choices as to how to react to this, the major ones being, a) admit that he wasn't really paying attention to Dean in the first place, and consequently, annoying his friend furthur, or b) pretend he knew exactly what Dean was talking about, and work on things from there. It really didn't take much time for Xing to make his decision.

Trying to fake as best a smile as he could, Xing said, "Aaaah, truly you've endured something spectacular, worthy to test your mighty resolve."

At that moment, Xing realized then how much of a screw-up of a response this one was, even compared to his last query. For one, he was making the dangerous assumption that Dean'd even described his adventures in any sort of detail that would allow Xing to see it as 'spectacular' (granted the benchmark for what was 'spectacular' to Xing was not that high in the first place).

Working his mind to think of a follow-up response, Xing knew the only logical decision would be to speak of what he himself had been through. However, to be honest, Xing wasn't sure if he did want to. It would mean having to speak of his 'condition' a little earlier than Xing'd have wanted to, and frankly, Xing wasn't sure if he was too comfortable about talking to Dean about the brother he, as of yet, had never mentioned before, and in fact, never was aware about until a few days ago.

Deciding to resign himself to whatever response Dean offered, Xing decided that he'd wait just a little longer before he told Dean what he needed to tell.

He sighed and rolled his shoulders, then slid his shield over his right arm, as if in preparation for something. Something didn't feel right.

"We're probably working for somebody who can't risk being seen here. After all, that person would have revealed himself or herself by now." Angelique's eyes narrowed.

"So, what are you going to do now? Are you going to keep working for our unknown sponsor?"

The breeze and hard light of the early morning was a pleasant sight, so magnanimously beautiful that it very well hid that the four and a half cups of coffee in Natalie's system had worn off. At Xellos' comments, she giggled uncharacteristically, and much longer than necessary. Something about what he said, in which she found the funny staying beyond the point of the joke.

"Oh you...," she said through fits of laughter,"Ja! Das Uber-Kaiserin! The Empress and her steed!"

She pumped her fist in the air with an exaggerated frown, then broke out into laughter, falling over on her side. Her psychic empathy not quite working right now, she was still having a good time, just that her heart and mind were somewhere else entirely.

Stifling herself and wiping the tears from her eyes, she said, "This is good, I had no idea you knew how to cook so well."

"I mean, you can afford all the help you need, ja? I feel so spoiled."

Xellos laughed with her, taking in her happy face.

With things building up as they were, times as carefree as now might be few and far between, if at all. He let the mood sink in, cherishing the feeling.

He shrugged, forming a mock frown that failed to touch his eyes

"Well, when you value information as highly as I do, and when one of the most important things in the world when you're a kid is your mum's cooking..."

He laughed lightly.

OOC: Up till now, you might have been thinking Natalie accompanying Xellos to the ZAHLEN meeting was a wasted trip. Not really so. I'm hoping to talk about it roughly a few IC hours later, while we're still on the island.:)

Xing had at least succeeded on doing one thing. Blocking out whatever Dean's response to his question was. Unfortunately, now Xing was left with a dilemma just as, or perhaps, even more problematic than the aforementioned response itself.

Xing had a few choices as to how to react to this, the major ones being, a) admit that he wasn't really paying attention to Dean in the first place, and consequently, annoying his friend furthur, or b) pretend he knew exactly what Dean was talking about, and work on things from there. It really didn't take much time for Xing to make his decision.

Trying to fake as best a smile as he could, Xing said, "Aaaah, truly you've endured something spectacular, worthy to test your mighty resolve."

At that moment, Xing realized then how much of a screw-up of a response this one was, even compared to his last query. For one, he was making the dangerous assumption that Dean'd even described his adventures in any sort of detail that would allow Xing to see it as 'spectacular' (granted the benchmark for what was 'spectacular' to Xing was not that high in the first place).

Working his mind to think of a follow-up response, Xing knew the only logical decision would be to speak of what he himself had been through. However, to be honest, Xing wasn't sure if he did want to. It would mean having to speak of his 'condition' a little earlier than Xing'd have wanted to, and frankly, Xing wasn't sure if he was too comfortable about talking to Dean about the brother he, as of yet, had never mentioned before, and in fact, never was aware about until a few days ago.

Deciding to resign himself to whatever response Dean offered, Xing decided that he'd wait just a little longer before he told Dean what he needed to tell.

Dean blinked vacantly at Xings words. Dean was tired, and grumpy, sure, but he was certain the only way he could have described his ordeal in less detail, would have been if he had went 'Blah blah blah'

Of course, he was not going to complain about it. The less questions Xing asked, the better. Besides, Xing was always a wierdo. Him seeing something epic about doing nothing, was par for the course, as far as Dean knew.

"....Yeah."

Ilias, on the otherhand, was a tad more astute. Anyone who was paying anything resembling attention to either Dean, or Xing, would have known they were both hiding something.

Ilias hadnt had much time to consider Xing's abrupt change in personality, movement, in speech patterns during the finals, due to Solarius's intervention.

He did however, know that Xing, wasnt 'Xing' during that period of time. Him turning into a giant bat, supported that theory, also.

He never brought that to Deans attention either, in retrospect.

"Xing, you seem back to your usual self." Ilias said, looking Xing over.

"Yeah, what the hell was your problem?" Dean said, recalling his, less than passive attitude regarding Jon.

"Did you have a hangover or something?"

A vacant expression passed over Xing's face. For a moment, he thought that he'd heard their words wrong, or that they must've been referring to somebody else. When it became clear that the two, in fact, were asking him, Xing could only answer in one manner which pretty much explained how much he knew at the moment.

Shortly after that, however, something in his memory was triggered. He remembered his brother earlier speaking to him of certain events which he could not remember. Then he recalled Ramus speaking to him of his transformation to some creature, and that he'd been quite the smart-mouth to Dean, and a few others.

With that memory at hand, Xing wondered if it was something to do with..... whatever it was that resided within him which his brother had spoken about. Xing couldn't be too sure.

Tamiko finished her drink, then headed back outside o fthe hotel for some fresh air. Looking up into the air, she took off her sweat shirt and let it drop to the ground. Her wings suddenly appeared on her back and she took flight, flying high over the hotel, watching the sun rise.

Landing on the roof of the building, she sat there, alone, hugging her knees as she looked out onto the island. From where Tamiko was sitting, she could see the entire landscape, as well as the people walking on the ground below her.

Levi sighed as he showered, getting the feeling that Tomoe was up to something. Now all he had to do was wait for her to put a hole in the wall to peek on him.

Finishing up, he turned off the water and stepped out, drying himself. So far he hadn't noticed Tomoe doing anything. Slipping into a fresh cheongsam, seemingly offered by the hotel and stepped into the room, only to notice Tomoe was wearing a purple Chinese qipao that featured a heart cut out at the chest to show cleavage. Once more dumbfounded, Levi blinked before Tomoe asked, "You like? I bought it before coming here, isn't t nice? ^_^"

Janos picked his words carefully. Wasn't his strong suit, but frankly the odds were against him if they figured out what he had in mind. A magician and a man of speed. There were very few maneuvers he knew to escape one of them, much less both at once. And yet Jose made his bile rise.

"That's kind of shallow, don't you think. Taking everything only at face value. An invitation to a fight, sponsored by who knows. What sucked you in there, Froot Loops, was it the loops in the l's and the wax they stamped it with to meet your standards of...mascara or whatever crap?"

"If you used that huge melon of yours, maybe it would seem suspicious, just maybe," he replied,"Although it's written all over your face. Revenge, was it?"

Natalie lay on her side.

"Ah well...well honestly, besides the danger, kind of similar, ja?,"

She lay on her back and reminisced for a while.

"Normally the acolytes are chosen due to their experiences or powers. These are the wunderkind, the extraordinary, ja? That's not very different at all. But it's rather quiet in Schleswig."

"If I were to compare it to something metaphorically...I would suppose we acolytes, until the age of thirteen are much like caterpillars.
