School House Rumble, Part 1: Arcadia, school of Old

"Oh! There are so many!" She said, almost excitedly. "The various Greek tales like the Iliad, Japanese tales like of Susano-O and Orochi. The list could go on."

"Illiad. Susano-O and Orochi. La Morte de Arthur. You must be quite the learned girl yourself to have read such great stories." Maxwell said.

He then smiled, a blush crossing his face as he asked "Do you know that you have the loveliest eyes I've ever been? They light up so beautifully when you speak of things that you enjoy, such as fairy tales and the suffering Natalie has endured at my hands."

For Xellos and Kekowa, they've discovered that they're approximately 2900 years in the past and in the Saharan desert.

They eventually found a city under siege and, from the surroundings and happenings, realised they were very close to the day when David fought Goliath.

Xellos hoped that by helping David along, they'd be able to gain his favour and he'd be able to perform a miracle to get them back to their time.

So they raided the Philistine camp. Kekowa fought Goliath to a draw. Xellos snuck about stealing supplies, putting laxative in Goliath's lunch and stealing his helmet.

They're now escaping and, when successful, will await the next day when David comes out to challenge the Philistine champion.;)

With a furious cry, Natalie tensed, then fell slack where she sat. The Taint had overrid the combined pool of mana Rhia had loaned to Natalie, severing the magical shift spell and closing the thinning of the planes.

Breathing hard, a trail of blood crept from her nose.

"Well, we know what to do now! Let's go! Uungh..."

Putting a head to her brow, her vision swam with dots and her head spun.

"Natalie!" Rhia cried. "Gods, are you okay?"

Selma looked to Natalie before sighing as she said "OK... Natalie..."

Looking down, Selma said "Natalie... I'm sorry. I know that I'm a selfish dumkopf. I know I shouldn't listen to Maxwell but I still do. I know that I should be stronger, but I'm not. I know you've been doing all you can to help me, even though I've been unreceptive to your treatments."

Standing up, Selma continued "I know that my apology won't make up for my actions, and I don't blame you if you never want to talk to me. I know that I wouldn't want to talk to me after how I've acted to you, especially after you've been nothing but helpful to me."

Bowing, Selma said "Thank you for listening to me Natalie. Goodbye." She then turned and walked out of the building, leaning against the outside wall as she waited for the mission to begin.

"Selma..." Rhia said, giving the girl a concerned look.

Glancing at Natalie, she decided that the witch was mostly okay for now, she headed out, found Selma by the well and sat down next to her.

"You can always talk to me," she said. "You know that, right?"

A small child appeared in Ilias's mind, causing him to flinch slightly, before he forced himself to focus on the conversation at hand.

"True..." Kagura said pensively.

"Really?!" Kado smiled, "Chin, I guess that means we get to keep him."

With that, Andros turned into his Roc form and flew away.


That's when Tamiko and Justin noticed that they'ld been sparring with Andros all morning and well into the afternoon, without even realizing it.

Then she let go of him and slapped him across the face. "You idiot! You.. You macho-moron! Never ever do that again! What where you thinking! You could have been killed!" Grabbing on to his shirt, she turned her head down. "Y-You could have..."

Goliath took the blow and was cut deeply. He roared, grabbed Kekowa, and threw him, literally, out of the Philistine camp and right by his camel. He then staggered back and fell, bruised and hurting and bleeding.



He hadn't beaten the boy, he realized, he's only stalemated him. In fact, with his speed, the boy would have beaten him eventually.


This realization makes Goliath shudder in something he'd never felt before.

Very nice job their, I think I put the fear of God in him so between the two of us that was a pretty succesful raid. "Who do you think sent us the letters, Maxwell?" She finally asked.

"Just die will ya" Willy yelled as he brought down his broad sword on the head of an unsuspecting attacker, smashing it like a rotten melon, sending pieces of bone, and brain flying all over the place. "See, that wasn't so hard, you bastard" he laughed as he swung his sword again, cutting a leaping creature in half.


Jason leaped into the air, delivering a powerful kick to the side of the creatures face, shattering the its jaw into many pieces, and sending it flying into a nearby wall. "Well, at least they go down easy" he said casually. "Makes all the more pointless in fighting them" With a quick slice of his two swords, another attacker lost his arm, sending its blood spwing into the air. Another well placed chop took of the head completly, sending the body to the ground.


The creatures managed to surround the Matsumoto, who was standing stock still, not even noticing them around him. No, the only movement that he made was to make various hand seals. Seeing this, the creatures went to pounce on him, and bout that they could not move.......or at least their shadows could not. All of them began to for into one pool of darkness right under them, and swallow them. Matsumoto was the only one left standing after this.

Wilks was moving around like a mad man, slicing the creatures apart using a combination of his sword, and blades of wind that his swords were producing with each swing. "Damn it, I just had Lucy polished" he lamented as anther wind blade took off the head of an oncoming creature.

A massive explosion of fire engulfed a group of oncoming of fleeing creatures, reducing them into ash. "Boring" Robert sighed as she sheathed his sword. "Not even worth a fraction of my fire"


Kelly held his sword high above his head as the creatues began to surround him, there weapons looking to drink in his blood. "Yes, come after me" Kelly said as he he gave all of them sick, and twisted smile.. "I need a chance to show you why I'm called "The Black Storm" A black aura began to emit from the blade of his weapon, and seemingly off his body.

"Banshee Shriek" he laughed.


All five swordsmen and their opponenets stopped when the painful, ear piercing screams filled the arena.

Selma nodded as she said "I do see that... But I don't know what I can do. I care about her too, love her even, but I can't seem to do anything but upset and anger her."

Thus they came full circle, if Solarius could win it by himself, then it was doubtful he recruited. That of course lead to the question of just who did.

Lets go back to the big dune where we jumped those guys." Kekowa booked at top speed expecting Xellos to catch him.

Standing up again, she un-did her long hair, letting it fall loosely around her shoulders. She then proceeded to remove her clothes, carefully placing them in a pile near the shore. Now, fully undressed, she steps carefully into the water, then dives in. Returning to the surface, she starts to swim towards the center of the lagoon.

Justin's face turned a bright red as he suddenly spun around and put his back to a tree, looking away. 'She might kill me if she ever finds out' he thought to himself.

Upon hearing Xellos question he looked down again and sighed. "Yes it is> I knew the battles in the bible where held with huge armies but I'd never expected to see such thing with my own eyes." He sat up looking at through the telesope one more time brifly before lowering again

Kekowa sat up "You might think one such as myself would enjoy such a battle. And certain parts do. But," Kekowa turned to Xellos "Let me tell you something. I do not enjoy pain and death and suffering. It may seem as if Im a barbarian seeking only battle, but you'd be mistaken."

Kekowa sighed "Let me tell you a secret. The only reason I fight, the only reason I train constantly, and fight so hard to be better. faster, stronger than anyone is I made an Oath a long time ago that I would be the greatest fighter in the world, and with that strength I would hunt down evil, defend the innocent, and and protect all those to weak to defend themselfs."

Kekowa leaned back again. "Fortunitly we know what will happen. David will call out Goliath, David will pevail and all will be well." Kekowa realized he rambled and kinda embarrased smiled "Oh sorry about that, my mind kinda wandered their, didnt mean to ramble."

The humans were clothed in furs, skins, and plants. Women, children, and men wandered around, performing tasks. The village must hold at least 200 people.

Then, one woman saw the two fighters and pointed, eyes wide.

Then, one woman saw the two fighters and pointed, eyes wide.

Kekowa sat up "You might think one such as myself would enjoy such a battle. And certain parts do. But," Kekowa turned to Xellos "Let me tell you something. I do not enjoy pain and death and suffering. It may seem as if Im a barbarian seeking only battle, but you'd be mistaken."

Kekowa sighed "Let me tell you a secret. The only reason I fight, the only reason I train constantly, and fight so hard to be better. faster, stronger than anyone is I made an Oath a long time ago that I would be the greatest fighter in the world, and with that strength I would hunt down evil, defend the innocent, and and protect all those to weak to defend themselfs."

Kekowa leaned back again. "Fortunitly we know what will happen. David will call out Goliath, David will pevail and all will be well." Kekowa realized he rambled and kinda embarrased smiled "Oh sorry about that, my mind kinda wandered their, didnt mean to ramble."

Xellos glanced at him,

The ramifications of casting that spell through herself, beyond her limit, and combined with the power of the Tainted One started to dawn on her. She hoped this wasn't the case, but the blood from her nose and the feeling of numbness weren't reassuring.

Slumping after the others in a bit of a daze, she heard Hippolyta tell them what she knew of the curse, and who was behind it.

"Indeed. Some call her the 'Mother of All Monsters'."

The queen shrugged.

"I don not know. Legend says she, in revenge against her first love, created every monster that walks the earth."

"Hebrew," she piped up,"Lilith, and the Lilim. And...unfortunately, this is no legend, as we've seen today."

"Just as well," Rhia said with a slight frown. "I wouldn't really feel okay fighting babies. Even monster babies."

"Her babies were the Titans, the Grendels, the Gargoyles, and the Devils," Natalie replied dryly, "I'm sure there's nothing to worry about."

With that, she walked off and tried to get her footing back. Something felt extremely off to her, and she hoped it wasn't what she thought it was. It had happened once before, in the Atlantean forest.

Natalie cried out in frustration as she tossed the pebble to the ground.

Shrieking out, the man swung, the head of the battleax slammed into Kazuma's face. However, to his amazement, the ax did no damage. In fact, it broke!! "You're a-a-a demon!" Running off, Kazuma simply shook his head. "Some people can handle my awesomeness."

"You, you there!"

"Me?" Turning, a schoolgirl looked to Kazuma, "Yes you, young lady! We're showing off some of our dojo's skills, would you like a demostration?"

Ichise's mind trailed off as he looked at the girl. She was beautiful.

"How about you try your skills against my son here?"

"Okay!"

"Now give him your best shot!"

Ichise, lost in day-dreams of love suddenly realized what had happened. "Wha?!" It was too late as a swift kick struck him between the legs. Going down to the ground, all he saw was his parents.

"Aw, young love, remember when I first kicked you in between the legs?" His mother, Nakano Himiko asked. Kazuma merely grinned, "Of course, right after, I DDTed you into the ground." "My ears were ringing for a week."

Ichise managed to squeak out, "....just kill me now..."OOC: Lmao.......i laughed hard

"The stars did?" Xing dumbly looked to the night sky. Of course, his efforts were futile, and he took it that this woman practiced under a talent of which Xing could not totally conceive, "Though the stars may tell the truth of my identity, I cannot claim to be a great warrior." Especially since I can't use my chi.

"However, reagardless of that fact, may I ask who you are?"

Hearing Natalie's cry of frustration, Selma looked over to her and stood up, moving toward her.

"Natalie, what's wrong?!" Selma asked as she got close enough to hear her answer, but not as close as she wanted to be. Looking at her feet, Selma couldn't bare to look at Natalie and see the inevitable anger that filled her eyes at the sight of the fire mage.

"I've...somehow lost my mana...," she said, slightly spaced out and unfocussed.

How did this...why? Was it do to the focus in the circle, where all are one?

"...so this is what it is to defy the goddesses...I should have been prepared..."

Rhia was at a loss. She wanted to reach out, comfort the girl, do something to make it better. She didn't know much about magic, but she knew that Natalie had just lost something important, something that she defined herself by. It was obvious it hurt her more then she let on.

Rhia looked down at her hand. She clenched it hard. "We'll figure something out. Don't worry, Nat. We'll figure something out."

Cleaning her face and fighting back the tears that were to come, Natalie nodded as she stood up and faced Rhia.

"But what can we do?"

"Here!" Justin said as he took off his shirt and handed it to her. "Ill make you a fire" he said as he quickly gathered brush and wood. Then used his powers to make a nice fire.

Justin couldnt look more frantic to make sure she was alright.

Tamiko, warming up in front of the fire, smiled at Justin. "Justin, I'm sorry I got angry at you. I should have listened to you instead of trying to run away." She then looked up at the beautiful night sky, filled with stars, "It feels almost as if we are the only people in the entire universe."

Rhia sniffed and smiled at him, and then she hugged him again.

Deciding to give them some space, Sirus backed off...

...only to bump right into a smiling, silver-haired man.

"Adorable, isn't it?" he said and placed a hand on Sirus forehead. "Mind Slayer."

Sirus eye flew open and he screamed, his back arching and his hands spasming, until the scream suddenly stopped and he fell unconscious to the ground.

"SIRUS!" Henry screamed before firing a massive Telekinetic blast at the silver-haired man, chucks of cement flying all over the place.

Jose loved the beach. Great shores of sand, and clear blue waves splashing his feet, drowning them before receeding away into the oceans from whence they came.

Even those that knew him well could not begin to know his reasons for his love for such sceneries. Many would suggest that he felt that it was beauty, the sheer purity that attracted him. Indeed, his very character suggested that.

But, there was a sentimental reason for his admiration. Years before, his master would bring him to the beach to train. Indeed, it was an ideal location, considering how spacious it was. Perfect for speed-training.

On any other day though, he wouldn't even have dared, fathomed, the idea of taking a detour like this. Time was not someone of his caliber could spare. But, after, quite absent-mindedly checking the date, Jose was nearly thrown into a panic.

Normally, on this very day, he would be in his homeland, paying his respects at the very beach where his teacher finally fell. But as it was, that would be very difficult, and so he made due with what he could.

A rose in his hands, Jose sighed softly as he placed the flower into the water. "Flor. That was the first painting you showed me, Saddler." Laughing softly, Jose brushed his hair back, "You should have seen, Saddler. Seen how brightly I've shone this year." Then turning his back to the crashing waves, he whispered, "And see how brightly I will continue to shine." The dampened rose gave no reply as it followed the waves into the ocean.
