Anything you need help with just call me and Ill be their. Its the least I can do for a smart, beautiful, young woman that would help a fool like me." Kekowa reached over to hand her the device.

Xellos also requested that they be scanned for bugs. Once none were found, he continued,

"Nihil Dux, the leader. Real name: Gilead Kain. Born in USA, attended Arcadia before joining KRIEG. A noteworthy psychic and very talented fighter. Is considered extremely dangerous."

"Sesqui. Real name unknown. Nationality unknown."

"Unah. Real name unknown. Nationality unknown. Confirmed to be the team magician."

"Duos. Real name: Yamala Rahasya. A former citizen of Khanda, now wanted for High Treason." There was a slight tone of bitterness in Kiran's voice. "He was formerly a member of the Royal Guard. Skilled at martial arts as well as magic."

"Trez. Real name: Jonathan Greaves. Born in Britain. Not much info on this guy, save that he was the KRIEG chief assassin before being promoted to ZAHLEN."

"Quator. Real name unknown. Nationality unknown."

"Quince. Real name: Monique La Roche. Born in France. Orphaned at a young age and went missing, only to turn up years later as a KRIEG operative. Not much else is known about her."

He gave Xellos a concerned look. "I'm going to be perfectly honest, Xellos. This is a very dangerous gambit you are playing. These guys aren't to be trifled with."

"Fortunately, Operative XIII is keeping us updated on their movements, and they seem to trust you at least to some degree. That gives us the advantage, for the time beeing."

Tamiko's appearance returned to normal, as she collapsed on the floor as if to catch her breath. Her arm, still broken, now hurt like hell and she wasn't sure that she could heal it herself.

Tamiko sat on the floor of the arena, trying to summon up enough magical energy to heal herself. If she could only gain the use of her left arm, she might be able to do something for Justin and Julien.

As she did so, she heard a voice, her brother calling out to her telepathically. "Hey, Sis, are you alright?"

"It's okay Kado, don't worry. I'll see you after this is over."

"If your sure...?"

Back in the audience, Kado sat there not looking very convinced. It bothered him that no one else seemed concerned.

As Levi approached the room, with a blink of his eyes, the surroundings had suddenly changed. Instead of the building and arena, he was in a land covered by silver mists. Glancing around, that was all he saw until he heard someone whistling a tune. Turning around he saw that under a great peach tree of golden hue, a hunched over figure was busy cooking up a pot of rice.

"Hey there." The figure said, "I was wonderin' when you were going to show up." With that, the figure turned revealing a human-like monkey. Despite the figure's appearance, Levi had seen much since he started at Arcadia and thus bowed, "Forgive me, but who are you and why am I here?"

The monkey chuckled, "You know who I am kid, considerin' you have my staff." Levi blinked, "You're Sun Wukong, the Monkey King?" "There ya go." No sure what to say, Levi simply bowed again.

"Enough of that."

"Sorry..."

"Anyway. As to why I brought you here. Well, after the legends end, I eventually got tired of the heavens. Sure they're nice, but earth was a lot more fun." Taking a moment to continue with his rice, Sun Wukong continued, "So I decided to transfer a piece of my heaven into my staff and went back down to earth. I had a lot of people wield the staff, though not many of them could make it change shapes. Your old Master Wan used me back in his day before he gave it to someone else. Eventually I ended up in Samantha's hands." Chuckling a bit, he stroked his chin, "Quite a hottie she was, but I got the feelin' she liked her Vice-Captain more than just an underlin'. Anyway, that of course leads this story to you. Hmm...rice?" He asked, offering a bowl. Levi declined.

"Suit yerself." Sitting down, he began chowing down, continuing to talk despite his mouth full. "Ya still gots a way to go before ya master the staff." Swallowing his current mouthful, he added, "Though I did like that trick ya tried to pull against that Hilda girl. Too bad it didn't work and fortunately I like ya kid, or ya woulda been in a crap load of trouble if I had decided to listen when she tried to shape-shift the staf when she kicked yers and Dean's ass. Those Old Nevadians are quite the tough bastards and I had actually thought about making her the new master but considerin' she kept kickin' and throwin' me, forget that."

Despite the fact that Sun Wukong had just revealed that he was just this close to abandoning him in a fight, Levi had another question, "So you know about the Old Nevadians?"

"Oh hell yeah, they're some of the toughest guys around. I used to hang around Old Nevada back in the days until one of the Kings caught me introducin' one of his daughters to my 'legendary staff' if you know what I mean and kicked me out." He replied, a perverted gleam in his eyes. "She was quite the hottie, but the kids were ugly as hell despite being some powerful mofos."

"Kids?"

"Yeah, ya guys know them as Bigfoot and Yeti."

Levi wasn't quite sure what to say with this new found knowledge. Eventually though the Monkey King got to the point. "Like I said, ya haven't quite mastered the staff and since I like ya kid, I'm plannin' on trainin' ya."

"Planning on?" "Well, I kinda have plans right now." "What kind of plans would a staff have?"

"Oh...the staffy kind, anyway, catch ya later!"

With that, Levi found himself back in the hallway, his foot coming down in the step that he had been midway through when the Monkey King stole his attention. Glancing around, he wasn't quite sure if it had been real or some aftereffect of Dr. Ruman's magic. In the back of his mind, he was kinda hoping it was the latter.

Despite his utter confidence of the situation, 'Xing' did admit that he was beggining to have quite a few reservations about the situation. For one, it was difficult enough controlling the one thing that provided a link between himself and the he had in his possession. That he was involving himself in a situation that was practically bait to that link was making things all that much harder.

It was as Levi said, he wasn't acting enough like Xing, that was true. But it was only because of the Dark Link between them, that wished for some measure of control of it's own. It was influincing his actions, turning what was intended to be childish amusement into bitter sarcasm. Bringing to darkness to the light. Nurturing hatred..... Creating disorder.

However, such veiled threats only served to make Jon Grey excited.

He knew that fighting a member of Dragon Dorm, when they were surrounded by allies, was not a particulary brillant decision.

He also knew that he had other things to do, all of much more importance then the group of idiots he was dealing with.


But he *really* didnt like Xing, and he *really* wanted a fight. There was a light in his eyes, and he became anxious, yearning for a chance to cut lose. He could barely contain himself in all the excitement.

Besides, part of him wanted to see what he could do.

"You're welcome to try." He said grinning, extending the fingers of his hands at his side, causing them to make a loud cracking noise.

Xing turned his attention back to Jon, and one could tell that he was beggining to feel quite annoyed. However, if those people were to tell you that what annoyed him was Jon's provocation, they would only be half-right. What was becoming a pain for him was the lure which Jon was unknowingly providing for the evil within him.

Of course, 'Xing' could not completely shelve all the blame to Jon for furthur provoking that evil. He played a part in its growing influence as well. Despite his reservations, 'Xing' could not help but throw a jibe at Jon for his words. Unbuckling the Dao sheath, Xing held it up horizontally, and grabbed onto the hilt.

"Maybe, I'll take your offer." A single tug on the hilt allowed a small bit of the blade's metal to show, light reflecting off its surface.

The light in Jon's eyes shone brighter as he saw Xing's blade. Any reservations he had about dueling Xing, as well as Dean, Ilias, and anyone else who happened to be in the room, vanished out from his mind.

It was almost as if he lost control of himself in the moment, forgetting that he didnt actually come here to to fight-atleast not at the moment.

Actually, it wasnt as if he almost lost control. He did lose control. Jon, as he was now, was constantly on edge, his desire for violence and bloodlust, held at bay only by his self control.

Even as he was, it took something special to give into his desires.

Xing, as it turned out, more than met the requirements.

Jon didnt give Xing an answer, not verbally anyways.

He smiled a smile deeper than darkness, before dashing at Xing, intent on rendering him asunder, with his bare hands.
