I'd be fine with a bad harvest if grapes didn't start growing when I was sure apples were planted.

Still, protecting Natalie seems a somewhat logical, if quite rash reason. if so, then Selma isn't a lesbian. She''d be just as much a dick as Xellos, cept she does it to her allies rather than strangers.:D I'll wait for Dogs' reply first.

Also, you could put thought into itallics. Thats what we usually do.

The man's eyes narrowed. "You don't say." He glanced at the blond, supposedly his other daughter. "June, what do you think?"

The girl investigated the frozen Quince. "A standard charm of frosty sleep. I can thaw her up right now if you want."

"Please do so," the man said, his voice as cold as the ice itself. "I'd love to hear what she has to say about this..."

'June' held her hands up and muttered something, then let them sweep over Quince. The ice melted away in an instant, and Quince stirred.

"Oooh, what happened?" she asked groggily.

"That," the man said, glancing at Xellos, "is what I'd like to know."

"Well, I remember sitting down and having a nice chat with Jericho over there," she pointed at Xellos and winked. "Hi again! He was really nice and bought me a latte! ...Um, and then I sort of blacked out, I think."

The man turned to Xellos. "Oh really?"



At that point, Rhia arrived to the scene.

"Hey guys!" she said. Noticing the look on the stranger's face, and the two concerned girls, she frowned. "...Did something happen?"

I should have hit her harder.

Xellos keyed in the hold command into the PDA in his pocket, the slight folds of his clothes hiding his finger movements. He prayed he'd memorised the button locations correctly.

Acknowledgingly Rhia, he continued,

"Yes, your daughter and I were having quite a charming conversation. I was telling her about the tournament so far and she was telling me about her family. I went to the toilet after that. When I came back...she was as you saw her. I got a friend to summon help. Another 2 of my friends came after that and I was trying to explain to them what happened when you arrived."

He sighed in relief and turned to Quince,

"Do you require any further medical help?"

However, before Quince could reply, a strange film began playing above them on the ceiling. It showed the entire incident between Xellos and Quince, from drugging her drink to striking her to finally freezing her solid.

Selma merely stared in shock at the evidence against Xellos. But in the back of her mind she wondered if he could talk his way out of that.


From her position nearby, Charlotte's glowing eyes dimmed and returned to normal, a smirk on her face.

'Poor Xellos. He should learn to be nicer to others and to respect their privacy.' Charlotte thought, watching the scene before her unfold.

And I think Xellos losing the trust of his friends is an awesome Justice League/Batman idea. But unlike Rhia's suspicions, Selmas' actions to sabotage Xellos have little basis (bringing Natalie to safety, I understand. Spilling the beans? No.) and Charlotte's actions here have a 'random acts of God' feel.

I put alot of effort into RPing Xellos with his plans and machinations. It doesn't come as naturally to me as simply straightforward RPing with Natalie. Having someone just waltz in and kick all the work down on a whim is as amusing as when your sister does it to your completed lego creation.

I put alot of effort into RPing Xellos with his plans and machinations. It doesn't come as naturally to me as simply straightforward RPing with Natalie.

As I see it, Xellos problem is that in spite of all his supposed intelligence and cleverness, he is really dangerously impulsive at times. He just seems to lack the subtlery and patience to play a good gambit.

He needs to learn to keep his head cool. :p

I reached a rather bad compromise during the convo with Quince, because I tried to show with IC, rather than OOC or PM that Xellos was getting suspicious. Was trying to trick info out of you while hinting to you that I was trying to trick info out of you...I sometimes make a similar mistake type in chinese chess games. Will be a bit more decisive about that in the future.

OOC: Yeah, Angelique is an antagonist. However, she's not actively being one (as least, not yet). Technically, she's neutral. And as for their relationship, it's not too bad right now. Better than you'd expect, as they act pretty casual towards each other.

Of course, she's going to have to help out when Solarius attacks, and she's part of Team Villain (AKA the Anti-Arcadia Squad).

what hapepned next was like soemthing out of the Matrix. The fries were one moment coming at Rmaus then all of a sudden, faster than Dean could see they were gone. They then reappared in Ramus hands. "hey uhh sorry about that but thanks for the fries!" He todl Dean as he began to munch

Taking in a breath he positioned his chi against the surface of his skin and with an exhale, his chi emerged. A light green dome of chi emerged, spreading out as the fireballs got in range of him. Sending ripples across its surface, the projectiles came to a dead stop, fighting against the Xuán Wu Shell.

With a mere tightening of his muscles, a pulse resonated across the dome, suddenly launching the fireballs back to their makers.

Unicorn's horn sparked again, striking the knife in mid-air and dropping it to the ground. She then pointed her horn at him agan, a green sparking forming at it's tip.


Dragon, her fire deflected, easily dismissed them as they struck her. Her green scales shimmered and her tail flicked as she floated off the ground. Her green eyes flashed and her horns seemed to vibrate slightly as her mouth opened a a huge jet of flame errupted from it, striking down at the arena.


Sonirus, her barrier taking Alexia's shots, pointed at her and sent a wave of telekinises at her, knocking her back.

Matsumoto just shook his head as he watched the two begin to get into a fight.

Unicorn's horn sparked again, striking the knife in mid-air and dropping it to the ground. She then pointed her horn at him agan, a green sparking forming at it's tip.


Dragon, her fire deflected, easily dismissed them as they struck her. Her green scales shimmered and her tail flicked as she floated off the ground. Her green eyes flashed and her horns seemed to vibrate slightly as her mouth opened a a huge jet of flame errupted from it, striking down at the arena.


Sonirus, her barrier taking Alexia's shots, pointed at her and sent a wave of telekinises at her, knocking her back.

As the jet of flame rose to his quickly dissolving barrier, Levi's response seemed to be by meeting the flame with a thrust of his arm, or rather what resulted with that thrust.

Slipping out of the sleeve of his cheongsam was the Ruyi Jingu Bang, which had currently been in the size of a wand. However once in his hand, he quickly changed it.

"Extend!!"

Eclipsing the sun for Sonirus and her summons, the tip of the staff filled the ring seemingly creating a wall that was quickly heading toward them.

Dragon, her fire deflected, easily dismissed them as they struck her. Her green scales shimmered and her tail flicked as she floated off the ground. Her green eyes flashed and her horns seemed to vibrate slightly as her mouth opened a a huge jet of flame errupted from it, striking down at the arena.

As she was knocked back by the telekinesis, Alexia managed to recover in the air. However, her landing was a bit unsteady, causing her to stumble back a bit more before she could come to a full stop.

After her less than graceful manuever, Alexia decided to continue with her previous approach. She ran towards her foe's side in an attempt to attack Sonirus from the flank.

Getting up as quickly as she could, Alexia climbed back onto the arena. Using her ki to enhance her speed, she managed to get within striking distance of the young girl's back before shifting the ki to her fist and punching Sonirus with all her might.

As he was sent flying, he began to show what progress he had made over the legendary weapon as it quickly shrank down to a more suitable size as he drove it into the ground. Using the momentum, he swung around, kicking out in a wide arc across the Dragon, elemental chi enfused within the kick. As he came to land nearby, the chi ignited into an explosion of fire-based chi across the Dragon's being if she did manage to get struck by his kick.

With a grunt of effort, he pushed himself from wall, falling onto the ground.

This sucks he thought to himself, pushing himself up from the ground, running towards the battleground.

He drew his sword as he did, pupils turning red, charging toward unicorn.

Watching from the seat he had taken following his time in the lunch room (which happened to be coincidentally close to where the rest of his newfound team were), Ilias amusedly watched as Dean got slapped around. It was, actually, quite the suprise; Dean was a rather strong adversary. However, his largest weakness was his speed, his lack of magic, and, of course, his rather small repertoire (none, as far as Ilias knew of) of ranged attacks.

Though why he thought throwing a knife at her would do any good, I have know idea.

The others that fought alongside Dean were quite interesting as well; however, as of yet, none had shown very much that could qualify as team work yet.

"Well, Guess I have better luck cutting lighting, than dodging it." he said while drawing his sword once more. As he did, he casually held out a hand, crooking his first two fingers, summoning his blade to himself, catching it by the handle.

As he charged towards Unicorn once more, Blade and knife in hand, he couldnt help but reflect on how much he didnt like his opponent.

Landing in a skid, Levi pushed up his glasses, "Indeed, that seems to prove quite the obstacle." He replied as he got back within the ring. The light struck his glasses, obscuring his eyes with their gleam. Suddenly charging toward Dragon, fire chi enhancing his speed and leaving fire trails behind him, Levi lunged forward, seemingly preparing to strike her with another fiery kick.

It proved to be a feint as he thrusted boths hand at her face, middle and index fingers stabbing both of her eyes. Her scales may have been harder than diamond, but what of her eyes?

Twitching his head to the side, Ilias conceded that Dean had little chance of dodging that hit, though he really needed to learn how to stop his rolls better; Dean had rather massive strength even before he came to this school--by now, he should be able to just slam his fingers into the arena floor and latch on to it.

Ilias was silently confused by the fact that he hadn't sensed any powerful magical abilities from the sword, but dismissed the thought for now; it was more likely that it was simply an ability of Dean's devising--which quite impressed him, really.






Twitching his head to the side, Ilias conceded that Dean had little chance of dodging that hit, though he really needed to learn how to stop his rolls better; Dean had rather massive strength even before this school came about--by now, he should be able to just slam his fingers into the arena floor and latch on to it.

As he watched Dean control the knife, and charge towards the being he now fought, he understood why he had thought that, perhaps, throwing a knife would do something.

Narrowing his eyes, Ilias stared intently at Dean, wondering why he had sheathed his biggest advantage here--his opponent seemed to focus on lightning attacks, but Dean's sword could deflect them. Why sheath it?

Deans senses made it that much easier to see what was happening. He could see dragons muscles tensing, as she tossed him about like a ragdoll, he could see levi being blasted back by that oh so annoying Unicorn horn, and could see Alexia attempting to Break Sonrius's barrier.

Mostly, he was focused on just how much getting slammed into the arena floor hurt.

It was difficult for Dean to focus, being repeatedly introduced to the floor, with great intensity, so much so that atleast two of his ribs had been broken, and the air knocked out of him.

Rather than attempting to throw his knife at his opponent, he let it drop to the floor, as he attempted to wrest himself from her grip.

All he managed to do was waste his energy.

After this proved unsuccessful, he clenched his left hand, and commanded his blade to aim for Dragon, as he quickly opened released two fingers from his fist.

"I...I can't hold on...But I still have some ki left..."

She charged up her last Sorrow Drive, putting all the energy she had left in her body. Taking aim at Sonirus, she said one last thing.

"I'm sorry...."

Alexia fired the beam.

"It seems fighting them one on one will not do." He said to the other as Unicorn began to arise. "We're going to have focus on one at a time if we are to help Alexia before she runs out of energy."

He had been hesitant to do this since it meant that one was open to attack, but it seemed they were going to have to do it quickly.

"Now...which one goes first?"

...or at least until Unicorn disappeared.

Blinking, he saw that Sonirus had been defeated. Chuckling some, he looked to Alexia. "It looks like you saved us, I thank you."

Dean blinked, clearly surprised. After a moment of confusion, he looked to his side, seeing an unconcious Sonrius, and a panting Alexia.

"Oh." he said, dropping out of a battle stance. "I didnt see that coming. I guess I owe you...umm.... I forgot your name."

Dean rubbed his head, before focusing on something else.

He twirled his sword in his hand, before placing it in his sheathe. "I think I had it under control, but still."

With a flick of his wrist, and an odd positioning of his fingers, he called his knife back to him, placing it in it's sheathe.

"Man." He said, laughing. "We kick ass."

He decided to postpone flexing until the next match.

"That is quite the skill. And you can form ice at any time, and rather quickly, as well. That could come in handy, I bet, and would supplement your speed based style very well."

Dean blinked, cleary surprised. After a moment of confusion, he looked to his side, seeing an unconcious Sonrius, and a panting Alexia.

"Oh." he said, dropping out of a battle stance. "I didnt see that coming. I guess I owe you...umm.... I forgot your name."

Dean rubbed his head, before focusing on something else.

He twirled his sword in his hand, before placing it in his sheathe. "I think I had it under control, but still."

With a flick of his wrist, and an odd positioning of his fingers, he called his knife back to him, placing it in it's sheathe.

"Man." He said, laughing. "We kick ass."

He decided to postpone flexing until the next match.

For a moment Levi began to chuckle then laugh. While to some it might have been from such a win, but he was truly doing it from the lingering pain of being electrocuted. Dr. Ruman's healing touch was going to feel quite nice this round, but until he went down, he had work to do.

"Good job you two." He finally said.

Just then, Unicorn vanished instantly as Sonirus was flung backward, unconscious.


Alexia stood there, panting, her Sorrow Drive having finally won out in the beam duel.

As he saw the ice begin to form out of the corner of his eye (as he'd briefly focused upon the ring), Ilias again peered intently as Jason. Or rather, the ball of ice that had formed on the palm of his hand. Which, despite the temperature in the arena, was not melting in the slightest.

"That is quite the skill. And you can form ice at any time, and rather quickly, as well. That could come in handy, I bet, and would supplement your speed based style very well."

After Rhia had left to check what the commotion was about in the cafeteria, Xing decided to resume his training. He still did have alot more to run on after all. The excercise continued until he heard that another battle was to take place. It only got better when he heard that both the Captain and Dean were two of the three fighters to be drawn onto the field.

As the battle raged, Xing cheered for his dorm-mates and he leapt in glee as he saw Alexia strike the final blow against their Norn opponent. He was about to move into congratulate his friends when he felt a hand clamp on his shoulder.

"Well as much as we'd like to see what you have to show us Xing, me and Xiong Wei will have to be going now." Yong said to his son.

"Ah, you're leaving now?" Xing asked his father.

"Here, let me try." As soon as Kado spoke, the coin flew out of Justin's hand and into his. Kado first looks at the coin, then flings it so high into the sky it dissapeared. He then points his index finger into the air, and the coin appears, balanced on it, heads up. Kado smiles, "Your turn." the coin then flew into Justin's hand.

Tamiko gives Kado an annoyed look, then turns to Justin, "Sorry about that. If you want, we can try a more difficult exercise."
