IC: Dean couldnt believe how unlucky he was. He was pratically surrounded by a group of concerned parents, all of whom he had met previously, due to being the parents of their peers.

Even worse, they were perceptive enough to pick up on the dismal mood that everyone, including himself was in.

What could he do? Could he really tell them that the Avatar of Time, who was coincidently his and Kaguras daughter from the future, came back in time to tell them about a massive war between people he knew little about, followed by the arrival of some badass who kills all remaining life on earth?

Sure he could. And afterwards, they could all go walk Dean right down to the mental ward. Besides, It wasnt his job to announce such things.

If his friends wanted there parents to know, they'd tell them personally. He'd just have to come up with something else.

"Hmm? Oh!" Dean said, while pretending to laugh. " That's a funny story..."

Time inclined her head.

This time, the entire room shifted.

Arcadia stood before them, no longer majestic or proud.

Instead, over half of the academy was in ruins. The pround dragon insignia tha tonce stood above the archway was destroyed. The gardens had blackened, and the forest burned.

Shift...

You see Dean Galtian and Kagura Ise-Smith holding hands, wedding rings proudly displayed on their fingers. Both are smiling and waving.

Shift...

The group sees Xing floating in a clear cylinder, tubes running from his body. His open eyes are blank, and he's obvioulsy dead or near death.

Shift...

Khanda is burning, the royal palace sacked, and the King and Queen dead. Shamra is seen holding a bloody Rhia as he escapes into the night.

Shift...

Xanatos Enterprises, main building, is empty and barren. Xellos, the only living being inside, sits behind a desk. His hair is unkept, his clothes grimy and disgusting, and his eyes blood shot. He's observing dozens of moniter screens as fighters, mechs, and magical contructs fight each other, his forces being pushed back on each monitor.

Shift...

A cemetary stands before them, desolute and lonely. The names of the freshiest graves stand out before them in bold letters.

Kelly and Anselm gathering a group of fighters together, a rough map layed out in front of them. Iilas, Janos, and several other familiar faces can be seen in the group.

New York city is ruined. Bodies, blood, and debris lay everywhere. Two people stand facing each other. Hunter, his feature's almost completley demonic now, and Peter, standing with his sword drawn. The two charge at each other and.....

Shift...

A woman in dirty cloths wanders through a recent battlefield. Upon a closer look, you see it's Natalie. She's bald, covered in scars, and her right eye is cybernetic. Her left arm is gone aswell. In her right hand she holds a small wand, it's runes burning hellishly. Two mechs jump her, and she causaully dismantels them with a flick of he wrist.

Shift...

Ramon and Daichi, both looking haggard, beaten, and bloody, stand back to back as a group of mechs incircle them, guns at the ready.

Shift...

Kekowa, carrying a bloody Ramus through what looks like some sewers, is highlighted. Ramus is missing an ear, and his right eye has been torn out. Kekowa, his face covered in scars, grits his teeth as blood seeps from a wound in his side.

Shift...

A much older Henry is seen standing over two more graves, those of Kagura and Dean. In his arms you see a small baby girl, with black hair and black eyes, cooing. Henry smile at her, points to the graves, and begins telling her something that can't be heard.

Shift...



And the cafeteria sprang back to life, the little girl with black hair and black eyes looking at them.

"All potential futures are slowly converging to what you just saw."

Dean, noticing her being occupied with finding Ramus, took this opportunity to silently, and stealthfully, return to the cafeteria.

Not one of my best stories, but it's better than the alternative...

Sure, one of his friends mother probally hated him now, but hey, if Ramus wanted his mom to know about there possible impending doom, he'd take care of it himself.

Justin nodded goodbye to him then turned to Tamiko to see how she was doing.

Tamiko, feeling better about herself, was smiling again. "Oh, I forgot to tell him about Kado." She looked at Justin.

Just then, "Hey Sis! Guess who I just saw!" Kado spoke to her telepathically.

"I'll be there in a moment, we can talk then." Tamiko then spoke to Justin, "I have to go get my brother. Do you want to walk there with me?"

"Husband, I think it's best we leave for now," said Miyao, she turned smiling to Kagura, "We will be here for your next matches, though. And remember what I said about the Tenkou."

"I will, Mother, and I'm grateful for you bringing my instruments."

Robert smiled and hugged his daughter, "No problem at all, Guu-chan, We'd thought you'd miss them."

Saying their goodbyes, they left the room, leaving Kagura with the chest, which she opened up, pulled out a guitar and began to tinker around with it, absently going through some chords.

As Dean escaped from Yong, Maria, and Wei, into the Cafeteria he happened to come upon Kagura, playing a beautiful song on her guitar.

He was unsure of how to react towards Kagura. Things were already odd between the two of them after his proposal for a date, and Kaguras subsequent rejection of said proposal.

But that was nothing in comparion to Diana, the child who would one day become their daughter appearing infront of them, and showing the both of them happily married. And dead also, along with nearly everyone else, but that was a different set of problems.

One the one hand, it was encouraging for Dean, proving that he had a good chance of winning Kagura over. He wasnt fond of marrige, or children, but he was fond of Kagura, so it still counted as a victory, in some way.

On the other hand, it made things extremely akward between the two. Even attempting to adress her would prove a troublesome task. He very well couldnt go ask her for a date again, using the fact that it all worked out in the future as an excuse for her to agree.

Especially since in the future they all seemed to be dead or dying.

Dean decided to try something a bit more subtle than directly asking her out this time around.

"Umm...Hey." He said as he leaned against a wall, doing his best to not look at her face. "You're pretty good at that guitar."

After escaping Kekowa and Dean without being seen, Selma went in search of Natalie. But seeing the girl hobble past, Selma raised an eyebrow and followed after her, only for the door to be shut and locked in her face.

Raising a clanking fist, she wrapped on the door, Selma asked "Natalie! What's wrong?"

After a few moments, her eyes widened as she asked "Did Xellos hurt you?! Or was it Sirus?!" Banging on the door harder, Selma began banging on the door harder as she cried "Natalie! Please come out and talk to me about it!"

Resting her forehead against the door, she asked "Natalie... please come out... please?"

OOC: I seem to have missed something. Why is Selma armoured?

Selma's pleas fell upon unlistening ears, for all Natalie heard were Diana's ominous prophecy.

"All potential futures are slowly converging to what you just saw."

Imagining if every action done has a definite end, that no matter hard the struggle, destiny reared its ugly head regardless. These were the fears that riveted through Natalie, peering at herself in the reflection and seeing only 'that lady' in the mirror.

Is that it?, she pondered, Is that the inevitable path of things to come? Will there be a time where we will have need of the demonic arts?

Remembering the power of Solarius, allegedly just the tip of the iceberg, and her promise to Justin and Tamiko, and her promise to watch over and save Hunter, she could only hang her head.

That to defeat the monsters, I must become one as well? Nein...

OOC: Kekowa was shaken about the events to his very core. Go back a little ways before Keko and Dean bumped into each other and you'll see. Kekowa meditated and meet his former master Qui Lan, His master from china. He calmed kekowa's mind and said a cryptic message about unlocking other "powers" When Kekowa awoke his head was on straight. Fortunitly a gang os ninja's attacked so he was able to take out his frustrations. Its not that far back its a pretty good read.

On his way he ran into Xings old teacher, Maria, and Yong. They grilled Dean for info releating to why everyone was in such poor spirits.

Selma narrowed her eyes, reared back her armored fist, and slammed it into the door. The hinges and lock never stood a chance against her blow, being ripped asunder from the hit.

Walking into the room, she picked up the door and replaced it before Xellos could enter. She then walked over to Natalie and wrapped her arms around the girl, pulling her into an armored embrace.

"Shhh Natalie... shhh... it'll be alright, I promise. This apocolyptic future won't come to pass, not while I'm here." Selma whispered, hugging her tight.

"And trust me, noone or nothing is going to tear me away from you. Not my close-minded parents, not Solarius, and definitely not some future that's not going to happen even if I have to re-arrange the flow of time with my bare hands." Selma continued, resting her chin on Natalie's shoulder as she hugged her.

"So please stop crying. I hate to see you cry." Selma murmured, giving Natalie a small kiss on the cheek as she spoke.

"Lousy food, I cant belive that serve this tripe to supposed warriors..." Kekowa looked around the door and saw him The big man he and Dean where argueing with earlier. "You, you big galoot. Your that same good for nothing that wanted to pick a fight with me earlier! So it seems that in addition to listen in on other people's busniess. You like to Slam doors in peoples faces! Why I oughta..." Kekowa looked at the man. He was tall muscular, that much was true, but their was something else. He looked much older than what a normal student would look like. And he didnt look like a teacher.

"Wait a minute, who are you? Your a little old to be a student, and Im psitive your not a teacher. so why are you in the cafeteria? Buster," Kekowa said taking off his jacket and placing one hand on his Kodachi "You got some explaining to do!"

Then he Brought his swords over his head and smashed the roof above not only causeing a schokwave but collapsing the celling as it raced for Quator.

"Actually, it is over," Unah said. She made a gesture with her hand, and an energy shield surrounded both her and Quator. Kekowa's attack demolished the entire hallway, but they were completely unharmed once the dust settled.

"Quator, you were told to avoid confrontations," Unah said in a low, cold voice. "Now Nihil will be dissappointed."

"Bah," Quator said. "Knowing him he's probably busy picking fights himself, the hypocrite."

"Watch your tounge," Unah said. She turned to Kekowa. "As for you..."

She put two fingers to her mouth and said. "Plague." Then she formed her hand into a gun and 'shot' Kekowa. "Bang."

Emidiately, Kekowa fell to his knees as a great pain erupted in his chest and abdomen. She started coughing up something he first feared was large blobs of blood, but soon realised was in fact small, crimson frogs.

"Forget you saw us," Unah said. "And count yourself lucky."

"Kekowa Hasegawa, was it?" Quator said with a cruel smile. "I'll remember that name. In return, you make sure you're stronger the next time we meet, so we can have some real fun!"

With that, Unah put a hand on Quator's arm, teleporting them both away. Kekowa was left alone on his knees, still caughing up frogs.

Dean then Lands on said opponent, or spears him with his sword.

Kekowa looked up a man wearing a solid black karate Gi with red trim looked down on him. The man was shorter than kekowa but he had rippling muscles. He face was weathered but still young looking even for a man of his age. He extended his hand to Kekowa

"Kenkushu... I mean Master Shinimei what are you doing here?" Kenkushu lighhtly slapped Kekowa before lifting him up by his neck. "I wanted to surprise you with a visit during the Tourny, I heard your fights they where interesting, I was searching these grounds for you when I noticed you pick a fight." Kenkushu laughed "I see you never learned to back down from your betters."

Kekowa started back at his former master. "I would have had him if that mage hadnt stuck her nose in."

Kenkushu looked at the damage Kekowa caused "Maybe, but then again maybe you would have pissed him off and he would have killed you. Like I said stupid as ever."

Kekowa had a thought "Wait you and master Qui Lan arranged for me to come here didn't you?" Kenkushu bopped Kekowa again "Dont speak about that pansy again. But yeah he helped me get you in. It took his suaveness to convince them to let you in dispite your rep in Tokyo. Now lets go I'd like to meet your fellow students!" Kekowa put a hand to his face and sighed "Oh dear Buddha why me?" Kenkushu bopped him on the head again "Comon Kekowa." They begin to transverse the rubble and enter the cafeteria.

Selma knocks the opponent into the air. A thought bubble featuring Natalie and A heart appears as she enters her Dragon Mode (The bad guy no like natalie).

At the exact same time, Dean flexes his left arm, as a thought bubble of Kagura and a heart appears, as Dean eyes turn red. (Bad guy no like Kagura either)

The Bad guy falls, and before hitting the ground, Dean lauches a vacum blade at him, slicing him, and knocking him towards Selma.

Selma begans clawing the fuck out of him in mid air, before smashing him to the ground.

Dean then hops on the man, and begins savagely pummeling him, as Selma charges up a fire attack.

Dean narrowly manages to jump back, as she releases it, burning the man to a crisp.

Then stopping to consider for a while, Yong said to Xing, "And one more thing. I may have erred in my previous definition of marraige."

"But it is not so difficult to understand father. If two individuals possess a strong friendship, they are liable for marraige then, yes?"

Ramon: Died kamikazing a group of 60 assualt mechs.

Diachi: Went missing after Ramon's final kamikaze death. As no body was found, he was concidered incinerated by the magic blast.

Iilas: Killed, along with Kelly, Anselm, Janos, Samuel and several others when they fought and killed Solarius.

Charlotte: Killed, along with her son (who's powers were absorbed) by Solarius.

Jose Carlos: Vaped, along with Lisbon, via orbital bombardment.

Jericho Mourn, Lucia Bloodmoon, Dr. Sofia Ruman: All killed during the initial Solarius attack.

Xing: Powers absorbed by Solarius before the assualt on Arcadia.

Sirius: Beheaded from behind in the initial assualt on Arcadia.

Henry: Alive, yet aged badly due to forceably opening a Time Rift for Diana.

Kekowa: Perished when Toyo was blown up two years after Solarius's initial attack.

Kagura: Died defending Henry and her daughter from stray attacks, curtesy of Cyborg-Natalie and Possessed-Hunter.

Justin: Was incinerated while defending an injured Jericho Mourn.

Rhia: Died from wounds recieved after Khanda's royal palace was burned and sacked.

Django: Powers absorbed by Solarius during the initial attack on Arcadia.

Hunter: Died killing the then Bringer. His body was then possessed, due to it's demonic nature, and he has now become The Bringer.

Wei Levi: Was impaled seven times during teh initial attack on Arcadia. Died due to blood loss.

Tamiko: Was incinerated whiel defending an injured Jericho Mourn during the initial attack on Arcadia.

Natalie: Was heavily wounded, but then cyberized in an attaempt to save her life. The surgery left her mentally unbalanced and emotionally scarred. She's now insane.

Alexia: Was magically poisoned and died slowly while fighting Solarius during the initial attack.

Peter: Peter was confronted by the then possessed Hunter. In the ensuing battle, New York City was completely destroyed and Peter was slain.

Selma: Crushed to death from behind by a Golem in teh initial Solarius attack.

Ramus: After assulating a main base held by The Bringer, Ramus was greviously injured. Despite Kekowa saving him from the base, he died from his wounds.

OOC: Are you sure? Afterall, with nearly everyone dead, there's surely going to be some major haunting by the other students and teachers. Kelly could randomly chant "Real World!" at nights while Henry sees Dean in his mirror daily, flexing and what not.

Opening up a little, "I had hoped for the same, to go to a school where I could make friends. Where I wasn't considered a freak, where people weren't afraid of my powers. I thought for sure I had blown it, that no one here would even talk to me again. But with you and Justin," Tamiko smiles, "I know now that I still have friends. If there is ever any way that I can help you, if you ever need me, even if it's just to have someone to talk to, I'll be here for you."

"Hey Sis, did you forget about me?" Kado came running up to Tamiko, Justin and Rhia.

"No, I didn't forget about you." Tamiko then turned to Rhia, "Rhia, have you met my brother Kado?" Then turing to Kado, "Kado, this is Rhia, a classmate and a good friend of mine."

"Hya Rhia." Kado gave her a friendly smile, then turned his attention back to Tamiko, "Sis, your not going to believe who I just spoke to."

"I'll bite, who did you speak to?" Tamiko asked.

"It was Mr. Gilliam, I swear it was him." Kado, already convinced that his sister would think he was lying.

Tamiko smiled, "I spoke to him also. But we'll talk about this later." She then turns to Rhia, "I have to go now, see you later then?"

Ramus stopped in front of the Dragon gang, and spotted Sirius. He needed to tell someone about his "moment" with Shun. "hey, sirius, remember that chick I fought?

Taking Maria's advice, Xing took a few deep breaths and explained, "Well, Wei's fiancee told me that marraige only creates slavery when one chooses the wrong partner. Kagura had said that as well. But Dean told me that slavery was an unavoidable aspect of slavery! So, father, please tell me, what is marraige!?"

"My son, you must look deeper into Dean's words. What he obviously meant was that if both parties were not in sync, then slavery will arise! But if both parties are in sync, then how can slavery be concievable! He was in fact speaking the same thing as those two!"

Then stopping to consider for a while, Yong said to Xing, "And one more thing. I may have erred in my previous definition of marraige."

"But it is not so difficult to understand father. If two individuals possess a strong friendship, they are liable for marraige then, yes?"

"Well.... certain... er hem... requirements are often needed of, after marraige." Then Yong leaned over to Xing and whispered into the boy's ear.

After his explanation, Xing simply sat there, eyes widened. Surely, he had some crafty response to what he wass just told!
